9R Build - high compression head with twins, billet throttle bodies and injector re-locate

This is a left over 2023 Pro RMK 165

Installing a race package from upshift403.

Includes a 14.5 head
SLP outlaw twin pipes
Billet throttle bodies
Injectors relocated to the throttle bodies
206hp at 8144 rpm

I’m also cut and clipped an Alpha 165 3” track to fit on the Polaris skid. Cariboux hood and P-85 conversion. Added some Elka stage 5’s as well.

Bad ass, that 9r is going to rip. I'm surprised the pipes peaked so low, better for clutching for sure.

What elevation do you ride? I have seen problems - or maybe inconsistency with the twin pipe with the 850, how are they for the 9R.

Took about 6.5 hours to complete the job. Would go faster now after learning a bit on this first one. Could probably do it in 5 hrs.

That video looks great! Any issues at low to mid RPMs? I assume they have a pump gas head also, but their website is under construction. Could be a summer project for my out-of-warranty 9r.

They do have a pump gas set up as well.

How did you punch out the windows on the alpha track?. I’ve done it before, wasn’t pretty and took quite a while. There’s got to be an easier way.

I cut each window with a utility knife. Had to cut 94 of them. The injector relocate adds lubrication to the crank and can utilize for timing. Also produces a cooler charge per combustion cycle.

Nice vid, I was surprised by the low rpm peak power at only 8150 rpm. Must be the high compression causing this. Other dyno vids I have seen show the 9r peaking around 8500. That was on a load cell dyno with a bunch of heat in the pipe

On the dyno used in Red deer, the stock 9r makes peak HP at 8000 rpm
