96 ZRT Too much oil!!!!!!

i got a 96 ZRT that i think should be mixing oil at 50:1

i went riding the other day topped the oil resevoir up and had a full tank of gas

when i got back i topped the oil up again and it took roughly 1250 ml of oil

There is oil has covered the spark plugs and seems to be getting all over the pipes where the connect on to engine

I sure think it is mixing too much

what would cause this and how can i fix it?

I have all ready cleaned all of the check valves on the oil pump.

Adjust the lever on the pump. If I remember right there should be alignment marks on the pump body and on the arm. Make small adjustments though because not all pumps put out the same volume at the same setting.

forgot to mention i aslo already set the pump up lines both line up

When you have the throttle wide open there should be about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch before the lines. Should be backed off so the lines do not match. Fastrac
