What do the E numbers that are stamped on these cylinders mean? My three cylinders all have EC68PL and 95 stamped on them. The outside are E2 and the middle one is E3. I've also seen E1 online. Is there a deference between these cylinders or are they interchangeable?

From what I've researched they seem the same. Does anyone have experience with these motors or know?

Sooooo, it turns out these numbers must mean something.
I bought a used cylinder on ebay that is E1 and 94. The bolt holes on the bottom for the crank case studs do not line up. The left to right (parallel to crankshaft) are ok, but the front to back bolt on both sides of the cylinder are about 3/16" shorter apart than my original cylinder.

I havent had much to do in the way of dealing with individual casting numbers of cylinders, usually have or acquire complete engines or complete top ends or bottom ends. If you havent found something by now i can ask a few people around here that might be able to give some advice.

I was able to find an exact match to mine which is E3 and 95. A guy I talked to thought the 95 might be the year the cylinder was manufactured but wasn't certain. Since I found matching everything is the same and it went back together great.
