I need to know some stuff about this motor. I`m on a short list to get one and the owner was very honest so I don't have huge expectations but i don't want to be sledless for the spring. The other thread was closed so I`m asking here.

No bashin and I won`t do anything but read and decide so I hope that those that have then running will respond. CFI 2 only please.

Will it run acceptibly with PCV, Dobeck, or Boonybox and stock or SLP pipe or is that not worth it (I mean will it blow up set this way, det too much to be ridable, or just run a little poorly)? I also need to know if those controllers were piggy backed onto a '13 computor.
Any one dyno the above set-up in the USA.?
Where can you get parts (ie are the pistons from something else, I can make gaskets etc.)?
Does it do okay with stock cooling?
Is it smoother than a stock 800 in power spread (meaning do you feel the torque and cc's if not the topend)?

As an outsider of the Polaris world it I am glad this thread is back up. I was very interested in this engine for my next sled purchase. Personally I didn't see why the previous thread got turned off. It seamed like they where just starting to dial it... a little late, and not as planned, but they are starting to run.

They are only running with the vipec and CPI pipe. The other ones that are running they are also gearing down and running the same or lighter weights than stock. Not sure about the clutching on the sleds running the vipec

I rode this sled all day in 3 in half feet of snow and this sled kick ***! It would would just pull and pull. I was with three other 2013 Polaris pro 163 and they struggled all day to stay with me. Te torque on this sled is what makes it a blast! Come around a tree in three feet of snow and punch it and the way it goes and the best part is when your buddies are in your track to follow you! Thanks par for the great motors!

what pipe/ fuel controller are you using?

The cpi pipe is a must to make it run! The 13 will run with a dobeck. Mine does anyways. I'm running 71.5 grams in MDS wieghts not sure what a stock sled would pull. I love mine its a tractor in deep snow and pulls hard on top end with the cpi!

Just for the fun of it, why dont one of you guys with the ones running good, try a set of stock weights with a stock spring and see what you can pull. I would guess about 64-66g at 6000 ft, if your lucky.

If a person was to look up the thread on the carls 900 you would see that they are pulling 64g stock weights. You will also notice that nobody is on that thread bitching about the motor only pulling 64 grams of weight. Maybe carls kit runs better, maybe adjusting the stock map is the key to there success with this motor, maybe they didn't sell 29 of there motors so they can deal with the issues better! I cant seem to find one to ride with so I cant answer any of my questions. I do know MINE runs great.

I wanted a big bore 170hp that I didn't have to dick with unfortunately it took half the year to get what I wanted but I have it figured out. I have 6150.00 invested in mine about the same price for a pump gas turbo but I didn't want a pump gas turbo. I wanted a big bore and that is exactly what I got!

Next season mine will have a vi-pec because I believe there is more power to be had. The rest of this year I will ride mine with a dobeck & any time you see me I will have a smile on my face!

That's pretty sad my 600 will pull 62 gram weights at 5500'ft

Glassman I will let you know in 2 weeks from today but if you still have the motor I may take it off your hands, also has anyone marked there clutches to see how far they are actually shifting out with these 910 motors?
