900 wont start unless i dump gas in the cylinders

well basically a year ago i parked the sled, did intake boots, gaskets, exhaust mani gaskets, cleaned the exh valves, and sum other maintaince, now we got some snow and its time to ride and the old girl wont start. i pour sum gas in the heads and when she fires i can keep her at 6500-7500 rpm (track lifted) but as soon as u let off a bit she dies out and wont start on her own . its a 06 with 1500 miles. could it be fuel pump weak? air in the lines? exh valve prob? TPS (which i never unpluged to do intake boots)........nothn else was unpluged or played with on the sled.

You could have water in the fuel from sitting. Change the fuel filter, drain the fuel tank and put fresh gas in with some iso-heat first and see if that fixes your problem.

did you put any Stabil in the fuel over the season?

i wold drain that fuel in it if its not fresh, and do it again

Ran perfect b4 parkn it. Fuel lite was almost on. No fuel stabi. Added fresh gas when tried startn it. Always sat in garage so dunno if water is issuse. I guess i'll suck the tank out and start over. One dealer said fuel pump, one said old gas.

You can power up the pump with a 12 volt battery. There is a thread on this in the stickies at the top of the 900 page.

My guess is stator or fuel pump.

Ck for prime connector to run pump,ck fuel pressure
Ck for spark when pulling it over.

Sled is running. After work, checked fuel pressure, spark again, all connectors and i primed it one more time (5 total) and it runs. But.....now when it starts the word service pops up and the check oil lite stays on (flashn). And yes im topped off wit oil. Any ideas?

Check the wires to the oil level sender. The oil sender itself could be bad too. All it does is tell you when your oil level is low.

what about that relay that shuts the all accessory off while trying to start?

there was a post a year ago or so that some guys were having starting issues and it was the oil level sensor shorting out. i unplugged mine i never get low on oil i fill every day i ride.
