900 reclutched what do you think

I just reclutched my 05 900 151 track , slp motor , slp pipe and can , reeds , slp air box , mounts , stock gears and chain , slp reflash , all kinds of venting . Riding 8000 to 10000 feet and weight about 230 with pack . Just installed mtx 74 gram weights team green / pink spring all new bushings and pins rebalanced . Secondary installed 2 derlin washers with red / black spring and team helix 66-44-46 and now this thing well flat about go all the way over if you peg the throttle but has a slight bog on first accelleration then wam you are flying . Any idles on what could be the problem .

So i called slp on the same idea and they were surprised we were trying to pull such a steep initial angle. Try changing the helix angle to a 64-44.46. the problem is the secondary is shifting out too fast putting the sled into a higher "gear" so to speak right away. you can try to fight the shift with a tougher spring in the secondary or do what i did. i just ran a higher initial rate spring in my primary to get the engine a little higher rpm at engagement so i had a little more power. that seemed to help a lot and i can still run the 66-44.46. hope this helps!

Secondary spring i am running a red/black (140-240) with the 66-44.46 helix. Primary i was running 11-72 weights with an EPI Black (145-280), and now im running a SLP Green/silver (160-300).

i am running the same helix you are...and i am using the Black/White spring..and its GREAT...

i would give the black/white spring (160-260) or the Red/Pink spring a shot (140/260)

ran both, and they were excellent!

Changing to a final secondary spring rate of a 260 will raise ur peak rpms. depending on where u r running now that may be fine but to fight the intial helix angle u need to change the initial spring rate. I would try a 160-240 to fight the shift up but keep the same peak rpms.

Ride

Just got back from snowmobiling . I have decided that i well just leave it for now . All the clutching i did paid off man this thing well flat out climb and doesnt seem to loose rpms at all . I stopped on a pretty steep hill then hit the rest from a dead stop and didnt even have the throttle pigged . i even let off the gas a few times . Cant wait togo up against other sleds now that it is dailed in . Thanks for all the clutching advise from snowest group you all no your 900 and are spot on with the helix and spring setup .
