900 lower bearings

A friend of mine is trying to get his 900 running. He got a used lower end and was told it was good, but had been over heated. He turned it over and seems to have a "catch" in it. He's not sure if its a flat spot in one of the bearings or just sticking in one spot.

How worried should we be about it? We are running short on time before we head to Cooke, but don't want this thing going down while out there either.

I don't recall and I don't have one readily available to check...I think it was only one spot but seems like there should be more as it is the magnets that gives that impression.

Only catch I've ever had with the stator and flywheel off of coarse was a bad lower rod bearing..confirm it's not stator and flywheel bolts cause they tend to back out also...and see if connecting rods shift or hang..
