9-11-01

I was staying at my parents place waiting to go south to pick corn. Just getting up for the day when the news cut in on programing, unreal to see the first building in flames. The talking heads on tv weren't sure if it was an accident or intentional. When the second plane hit all doubt was erased.

I remember going into town later in the day, and it was like a ghost town. Very eerie because nobody was out and about doing business, in fact many businesses closed down for the day. Very sad day for the U.S.

NEVER FORGET

9/11
I mourn the innocent victims of the attacks.
I mourn the innocent who were injured or died in the many ongoing battles of the war.
I mourn the losses suffered by the forces of Freedom waging the war.
But most of all, I mourn the apathetic and surrender-minded among us, for they have every access and cannot grasp Freedom.
For those of us remaining, I celebrate, as on Independence Day ( 4th of July ), the honorable, those with integrity, the Freedom that we must cherish and protect at all cost.

Well said wow!:beer;

Thoughts and prayers go out today to the families still struggling and missing loved ones. :brokenheart: And to those who work so hard to keep us free!

May God help us, cause we surely need it!

I will never forget!!! :brokenheart::rose:

Thank you to all the service men and women.

No one is ever promised tomorrow! To all of those that left us that day, you will always be remembered.

Thank you to every serviceman and woman who help to protect our freedoms and way of life in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.

x2. I still get a lump in my throat everytime I think about that infamous day and all who perished. Godspeed to all the families and all who put themselves in harms way protecting us everyday. We need to never ever forget that day.

I was late to high school that day. when I walked in the tv was on and i saw all the smoke from the first plane had no idea what was going on. Was a very sereal day for sure prayers and thought to all that were affected and to our country that we all might stand as one should something like that happen again. Unfortunatly I think there will be alot more criticism about taking action then there was before and depending on the pres at the time we might really be in for it.

One of 2 days of my life that just the mention of the date I relive the feelings that happend on those days.
Was workin in a small town in northern utah framming, no radio nothing up there, had a delivery driver tell us. Called and had a friend put his phone by the tv. First time I saw 4 grown men choke up on the spot and get angry.
Heart goes out to the people that lost loved ones that day.
Something none of us should EVER forget.

I know I will never forget! I was only 10 and can remember pretending to be sick, staying home, turning on the tv, and seeing the towers on fire. It's eary how we remember days like those so vividly.

I was either 12 or 13. I was getting ready for school and my first test of 7th grade. I came upstairs and there I saw the first tower on fire. I dont remember anything else that happened that day. Only remember the things that happened on the East coast. :(

i was going to hook up a new well and heard it on the radio. got to the job and asked the home owner if he was watching tv, he said no. so we went in the house turned on the tv and there we stand in a strangers house that i have never met before looking at the tv saying wtf is happening here. all i can remeber is i wanted to go home and watch the news. we did the job and went home and i watched tv all night long.

I heard about the first plane on the radio on the way to work and just thought it was a horrible accident. Then we watched the second plane hit on tv at work, and heard about all the other possible planes and threats going on. I still get a lump in my throat now thinking about it. I was a volunteer fireman at the time and I'll never forget how much appreciation and gratitude that we received after that day for what we were doing for our communities. I think I probably went to 20 or 30 banquets and events over the next couple of years, and I'll never forget the pride of doing that, even though we were just a small town volunteer department. God Bless all those that spend time doing what is not required of them to make life better and safer for all of us.
