Never Forget the events of that day.

the day everything changed

I was living in Kellog Idaho during this whole ordeal.
It was amazing being in such a remote area and dealing with this. I was a volunteer substitute teacher in their schools and helped children deal with the trauma. I remember how blank the skies looked afterwords for days and days. I remember crying after seeing my first plane cross the sky afterwords. I brought flowers and home cooked meals to the local firemen just to show some sort of appreciation. The man I was living with at the time was a wildlandfirefighter and he was called up to guard a government property for about a week afterwords.
I will never forget this and how this country pulled together and God help us we will stay together through whatever this world will offer us in the days and years to come.

yea, was on top of a mountain sheep hunting...seemed odd no planes during the day..called home to find out the world as we knew it had changed......3 yrs later to the day my marriage ended....but thats another story..god bless america.....................

Indeed a sad day...definitly the Kennedy or Space Shuttle of my generation....senior in high school, didn't find out until 1st hour around 9. No lie my first thought was Osama....then my next was where my guns were stashed...

NEVER FORGET

i'll never forget. was uloading fire wood that morning, took a break ,seen what was happing on tv. didn't finish unloading wood for about to two days. just hope we never have to go through that again.

You know your still a proud American when they sing the National amthem and it STILL raises the hair on the back of your neck. I hope our younger generations will feel the same pride especially after 9-11

I remember... and I'm still filled with anger about it to this very day... imho, not enough people are pissed off about it anymore... every Sept 11 I get filled the RAGE TO KILL all who oppose this country

come on burn, leave it alone for one day....
X2,

For one day it would be nice to forget about all the politics and whatnot, focus on what is really important, all those from that day and all those defending us since that day.

I recall sitting in Spanish class when it all happened and the teacher turned the tv on. Seeing the first building fall you could hear screams throughout the school and then just a sickening slience for about 5 minutes.

Many heroes that day, many more after that day. Never forget.

Never forget. I was getting ready for work when the second plane hit, couldnt believe it. Sat and held my kids and watched in disbelief...wife put the flag out last night was nice seeing it this morning....USA!

I was at work...ALL our dealership employees and customers stood in the customer lobby and watched the tv in dis belief. There was very little conversation to be heard from anybody.

:( I will Never forget that day, Knew a guy in the first plane, not real well but really brough the hole thing home.

.

I was workin and heard it all over the radio from start to finish!!!

I was in NYC last december and they are still hauling debris out of one end of the hole thats left, they were just starting on one end of it builing the freedom tower. Truely unbelieveable to see it in person!

NEVER FORGET!

I lived in NJ at the time and was about 20 straight line miles from the WTC. It was a very strange feeling to know that all of this happened so close to me. My gf at the time was a teacher in Queens and was able to see everything as it happened and was on the phone with me. Her brother was NYPD and I remember hearing some stories from him.... stuff the news didn't report, like the 6 officers killed in a van rushing to the scene and they hit a tractor trailer. It was a very sad day but what made it even worse is I knew of a few people who died. It took a day or two but the winds shifted to the south and the burning smell hit where I lived. I'll never forget that.

9/11
I mourn the innocent victims of the attacks.
I mourn the innocent who were injured or died in the many ongoing battles of the war.
I mourn the losses suffered by the forces of Freedom waging the war.
But most of all, I mourn the apathetic and surrender-minded among us, for they have every access and cannot grasp Freedom.
For those of us remaining, I celebrate, as on Independence Day ( 4th of July ), the honorable, those with integrity, the Freedom that we must cherish and protect at all cost.
