850 Turbo tunes Reviews

I have the Maptuner X + Dealer service app in my shop, put stage 1 tune in my 2017 850 165 X & my 2021 850 Turbo 165 Expert. Both running DJs Ibackshift Clutch Kits. Talked to Joe yesterday about what clutch changes will be needed. He told me general rule of thumb is to add one gram per 5 HP from the great set up I had before the Stage 1 tune.

I run 966 ramps in my 2017 and with Ibackshift kit I really like the 3000ish engagement (y) + perfect 7900-8000 rpms all the time.

So I will be adding 2 grams to my 2017 & 4ish grams to my Turbo for my initial testing. Need more snow before I dare go out for testing.
So are you planning to go with stage 2 on the turbo with the turbo pipe? Are happy with the stage 1 tune from map tune?

I havent had the chance to ride yet, I may get out tomorrow, not panning on stage 2 on the turbo. It will be a trail ride for the most part untill we get more snow.

has aynone run the BMP fat azz pipe , just curious the results , im thinking of going to stage 2 maptuner this year , 1 was awesome last year time to turn it up ! says pipe required

Interested if anybody has more feedback on Bikeman pipe for the turbo? Bought a used one for wrecked sled I rebuilt and found some positive reviews on initial install but nothing long term.

Day 3, lots of tracks and the snow began to set up. Tune and clutching totally consistent, no hiccups or bogs.
I'm surprised there isn't more feedback on the Ibexx tunes.
My buddy runs them in his '22 for 2 seasons now. When I rode it, ran flawless like stock but much more power.
It ran so good, it convinced me to buy the Ibexx tuner for my '21. I've yet to install it, cause I'm pretty happy with how it runs in stock form.
There's been a few days where I wish it had 200HP tune in it, like my MPI turbo kit on the '17 but they are few are far between. It's usually on deep snow days I wish it was there.

I'm surprised there isn't more feedback on the Ibexx tunes.

Rode my 22 Expert turbo with Bikeman pipe today for first time. Has 24 turbo ramps in clutch and RPM charge tube and blowoff valve. My buddy brought his stock 22 Expert turbo and we swapped back and forth. No tune in my sled yet. His only has DJ clutch kit. What a difference. The bottom end and midrange is completely different. Bikeman pipe makes sled feel like an N/A mod sled. No lag whatsoever and very linear power. Hits 7900 and holds it with the 24 ramps with extra weight. The stock is good but power comes on slower and hits harder when boost builds. Piped sled is very linear with more power through the whole range. Definitely adds the 15 hp they claim if it pulls the 24 turbo clutching. With the blowoff valve the turbo is much quieter with no flutter like the stocker. Debating on even doing a tune for more jam. Only issue was a P3001 under load under 4000 ft. Can't find definition but thinking might be detonation code. Goes away after restart and never happened again after reaching altitude and coming back down to load.

Are you running an Ibexx tune Christopher?

I found the Bikeman pipe just made the sled run better with more power. Felt more like an N/A sled for throttle response. The power band was much more linear. The stock sled I compared to had great power but it lagged a bit and came on fast and hard like a typical turbo. I only want a tune now to make the pipe better with a little more fuel as recommended for long pulls if necessary.

You got that wrong Christopher there is always the need for more power! Peter
ya, well, been there, done that.
Went the 17psi turbo Viper for a season with 275hp.

NEVER EVER AGAIN for this old man.;)

But you young bucks, by all means, GO FOR IT, and I will happily enjoy watching your vids!!!
