800r vs 600 ETEC - Vibration

So I blew out 2 disks in my back this fall – so I am out for this season. My doctor has told me that sledding is “poison” for the back – due to the vibration issues. My new doc is a little better – but is still concerned with vibration.
Has anybody had some “seat of the pants” time on both the 800R and the 600 ETEC? I keep on hearing that the 600 ETEC is way smoother and has much less vibration, and this would help convince the wife to letting me back into sledding (on a more limited basis).
I would be looking at a Summit 146 for next year. With that – I would be redoing the suspension as well (Fox Floats all around) and looking at a new rear skid.

Don't know that I believe the "vibration" thing, I have two bulged disks in my back, and after I rehabed it (2 yrs) I don't notice any problems from sledding. That being said, I have both the 800R and a 600 etec and there does seem to be a little less vibration from the motor on the etec, again, I don't think the vibration is the problem, it's the large moguls on the trails and the sharp edged bumps and the drops that really impact the lower back. I'm very careful when I ride sitting down on the trails to watch out for jarring type bumps, but other than riding on a trail for a little ways to get to a jumping off point, I mostly ride standing up, so since my back healed up, I haven't had any problems sledding. Just my two cents, good luck.
