and 600xc4me if your dealer changed the voltage regulator he should have also changed the ecu, Polaris had us replace all the ecu's last year when the regulators went down.

That's good to know, when's your sled going to be back at the shop?

It needs to be updated to the new program.
The major problem here in my opinion I'm sorry to say is certain dealers are not as good at doing these as others.
Look at Carls cycle update stuff. They have done over 120 of these alot are on the snow and no problems so far.
The service dept. has to be good and know what they are doing my opinion.

Sorry I should have said that a bit more clear. It was reflashed to the 2010 update, but hasn't ever been changed. Probably should ahve been.....

Yep I agree. My voltage regulator went last spring, it wouldn't even run. Smelled a bit hot but no smoke like others had. But my dealer still figured it was only the regulator. But they can't check everything I guess.

Ya last thurday is was supposed to ship nov 20th, week before that it was nov 13th, now it nov 27th, wish I would have kept it till they were in for sure...

Don't look now but I checked the Polaris Dealer web site this morning and about what I expected: new ETA December 1.

Attention ALL MANUFACTURERS/SUPPLIERS: I can't speak for everyone but me personally I don't care whether the release date given is two days, two weeks, two months; AS LONG AS IT IS ACCURATE I can plan!!!

I guess I am lucky I only have 8 left to do (5 sales units and 3 for customers, and one of those does not want to do it until mid December). If it costs us a sale in this economy or impacts someone's vacation plans I'm frustrated I don't have a plan "B". I'm glad to see another shop on this forum offering his extras, If I wind up with any extra I'll do the same.

I hear ya man. I have been waiting since oct.6. 16 sleds left to be done, 8 in my shop. Have to wait on kits in pretty little boxes when all individual parts are on the fiche and available for order. Can,t order and do the work though because it costs an extra couple hundred bucks! I love explaining to good customers that i can not accomodate them because of lack of product.

? so what your saying is that you have scuffing on your mag side from the old setup, pistions, head ect. That your not running the new full update, correct?

No. I have scoring on the new updated pistons, using the new head, and the new reflash. My sled was fully updated. And has bad scoring on the MAG, and PTO sides.
