Well, all I can say is this.. My ridding buddy bought a new e-tech xp this year cuz he has had alot of problems with his past polaris sleds. Last friday was the first weekend we got to ride together this year and well my Pro kicked his xp butt all day long in everything from drag racing to hillclimbing to rippin threw the trees and he is pissed.. We swaped sleds and he could not believe that it was a stock sled with a 143hp.. He liked everything about my Pro and had nothing to say about his xp... AT ALL.... It was the silence that was what got me cuz he has been talkin his xp up and tellin me how awsome it was until we rode together last friday.. Have not heard a word since then about sleds.... So after ridding one and ridding with one all day, I can say now THE PRO IS ONCE AGAIN THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN KING......

Here in the interior of BC the local Poo shop had a few Pro's out. One Assault....
Nice sleds, didn't get to ride one.....get this, they are demo's, but not everyone is allowed to demo.....wtf?
Anyways....we rolled up with a few Revs, XP's(clutched, CE, improved stock mods), few Cats(one 2010 and one Cutler 1 Liter). Hardly stock though.
My 06 Rev(not stock) was the target of many jokes(oldest sled in the group) until we headed out from the cabin and started in on some nasty drainages and tree riding......when we popped back onto the trail thinking the Poo boys were behind us.
After about 10 minutes I headed back up and out of the drainage and found 2 new Pro's getting unstuck. Said the rest of the group was waiting for them on the trail. So they get unstuck and I figured they'd follow me back down the drainage....nope. Headed for the trail and and I headed back down through the trees. When I got back to my group the rest of the Poo boys were sitting there with my guys. Chillin.
WTF happened to you guys? I said. Silence.
Infact only the 2 guys I helped get unstuck would talk to me after that. And we rode with them for the rest of the day....or actually....they watched us ride while they sat there talkin up their sleds......to each their own if that's what they like to do. Personally I don't think I'll even stop next time I see the same group.

I still want to ride a PRO though! So anyone in the Kamloops/Clearwater/Salmon Arm area that doesn't mind me takin a spin on their rig, I'd be much obliged. I've read so much about how awesome they are....I hope they deliver. My dad is seriously thinking on a PRO for next season, just need to ride one for a few minutes.

BTW one of the guys that was stuck has only been riding for a couple years.....the other guy has ridden with my dad for the past 30 years. So on one hand, I know inexperience might have caused one stuck....the other was simply a case of getting swallowed in a few nasty trenches that zigzagged down the drainage before heading into the trees.

So far, not impressed at all, however that's probably the riders that were riding them and not the sleds fault.

Oh and I put on 78km(the most of anyone in my group) and the 2 Poo's that would still talk to me said they made just over 50km. WTF do some people do all day? I like to ride and burn fuel(FU David Suzuki) and didn't touch my spare fuel which was kinda dissappointing to me. How I put on over 20km's than these guys is kinda funny.....must not like their sleds all that much if they refuse to burn up some petro and make some waves in the pow we were riding in.

That would e like me, lol. Rode the PRO once so far and mt brother in law had his 07 m1000 with some minor mods. In the deep technical stuff, I got stuck in his track (sidehilling into it and whoops! nose straight up).

The PRO is a fantastic sled, now doubt. But I'll have to burn some gas to compete..

Reeb: you gotta get your hands on one! Might not top your Rev on the first ride, but I think you will recognize the potential of this Poo.

I just need to ride one and I'm positive my dad will buy one and retire the DragonCat. Just need some seat time though. And a decent dealer as we will not buy from the locals after our "ride together"
Otherwise he's snowchecking the new Cat. He doesn't even care what it comes out as, he won't ride Doo(Rode my demo XP's and never got the hang of them) and wants to ride the PRO. If he likes it, he'll pick up a holdover or a used one for next winter. Otherwise he's checkin a Cat.
So again, anyone wanna let me swing a leg over one of their Pro's?

Whatever. Supposed to run on it. It's your sled. I understand the squish and cpu like abit more octane than 87 to avoid timing retard from deto sensor. I only run 110 mix in a mod I have with a custom head. No fouled plugs.

ok... try 110 in a stock sled. :face-icon-small-con

Just wondering where snomobiler is? It's now tomorrow! if his XP had the upper hand, he would be on here bragging. snomobiller, where r u? what's the report? now raise your right hand, and tell the whole truth.

So i got some testing done today. With about 430 miles on my sled.

I am running 91 octain plug, and i ran 87 octain today... It ran great! It did cut out on my once and it also had a midrange burble twice. Other than that, it ripped. I put osme himarks in over a 07 m8... By a long ways. I don't know if it is running better than it was becuase there is so much new snow. It didn't burble on me when i was running 91. BUT, it was about -10 when i was riding so there was alot of oxygen in the air. Elevation was 6500-9000 feet. I also never had a det flash, nor did it go into "limp mode"

I did however have a weird secondary problem, it was almost frozen? Like it shifted out and didn't return. After a few minuests of messing around it worked fine the rest of the day. Stilll......WEIRD

ok, dont want to stir the pot but....

rode my new pro 155 yesterday(second day on the sled)
rode with a 2003 800 vertical escape, 2008 dragon 800 163(stock), an a 09 or 10 rmk 700(stock i believe)

i dont want to say the the pro was the most powerful but it definately felt like it had more grunt

i dont know if its the weight or what, but the power was to the ground

not trying to brag or put any sled down, they all ran awesome with no problems
