800 Powertek Motor swap

anyone no what id have to do to put a 06 Powertek 800 in my 04 800 or is it not worth it. would i have to swap out the dpm and other things

yepp wiring harnesses are different, 04 and 05 used an MPEM box wich had multiple, small ports on it. Ptek used An ECM bock with one main wiring harness conection. Pt also has vacume advance rave and knock sensor on head. In fact I believe that the only difference is the computer, wiring and rave valves, so i dont think that you would gain anything bc the actule motors are the same.

The engines themselves are the same.The powertek is all in the computer ( just a different program with better timing curves)To upgrade to this you would need the whole wiring harness and ecm for a 06.possible to do!!!!! and yes the knock sensor and vacume controlled raves..

I have a 04 I bought a take out of a 07 800R complete harness and all when i checked it out nothing interchanges so you have to have all the harness ECM and engine plus the larger air intake box different Y pipe too otherwise the swap is easy as pie!
