800 mountain cat w/900 top end

friend of mine seized his carbed 01 mountain cat 800 a couple of weekends ago, and we have been looking at some options. have came across a complete new top end of of a carbed 03 900, jugs, piston kit, heads, power valves and cables. we know that all the motor stuff is the same but my question is if his 800 pipe and y-pipe will bolt to the 900 top end?

Should all bolt right up!!

The pipe will bolt up but they are different. He will want to find a 900 pipe and y pipe either stock or aftermarket. He will also want to find a CDI out of a 03 or newer 900 as well. Big difference between the 01 CDI and the 03 and newer.
