800 ctec durability

3000mi on my 2021 and 2000mi on my 2019 no clutches no engines. No blown belts.

the only item I've replaced more than once on either sled is the steering post - cracking at the T top.

1st cracked clutch 1200km
Engine failure 2300km lower MAG rod bearing
2300km also found cracked clutch again
Have also had a steering post break off
FTS suspension arm failed
4200km installing a new track before the season due to rods broken up the middle
get the 4 wheel kit for the rear, will cure broken rods. In no way does it affect the "flex" of the single rail but the rods break from the leverage on the back of the rear inner wheels when your wheelies or chewing.

I put one in at the start of last season. It helped that track last through the season. Hopefully on this new track it will improve the life of it.

My first track got like 2800k km on it. Broken fiberglass rods and worn through rubber where the sliders run. It eventually tore through where the wheels run. Like the wheels and track tension Broke/fatigued the belting inside the track. I noticed the wheels bulging through track over time.

I forget my mileage on sled but this track must have about ~3300k km on it. 0 broken rods. Fully clipped too. Unfortunately it's tearing at base of paddles and showing the cords. Nothing is physically broken yet but I'll be proactive and replace it.

According to the part descriptions they are 80 duro. The paddles are thinner though with more ribs to try to get them to hold their shape rather than having a thick base all the way across.

2018 Arctic cat m8000 153 with 4300 miles. Just now getting around to doing a top end. The motor has been phenomenal. Cats steering structure not so much. I’ve found out what is an issue though with that and have been able to keep an eye on it and keep the steering structure from failing.

Honestly it just seems that single ply 3.5" pitch tracks with 3" lugs are a maintenance item. Doo and Poo (2.75) are having similar longevity issues with theirs.
The more performance out of the tracks we get the less durable they will be. They are almost like gummy tires for dirt bikes at this point. Maybe the option to have a very durable track but you lose some performance would be good for those of us that own a sled for more than two seasons.

My 3" power claw on my 18 has been great for durability, I don't hammer it down the trail, maybe 35mph tops, and it holds together really well. I try to not spin my track out in the dirt and on stumps too, that tends to go a long way for a track lasting lol.
