I agree. Or at least allow the dealer to program the odometer like in cars.Hours are in the ECU, miles in the gauge, so when gauge is replaced, the miles say whatever is on the gauge (if new gauge then zero miles / km, if used then whatever it had when taken out)... I think that is kind of an antiquated way of doing it myself; both should be stored in ECU since it is most central and least likely to get replaced.
