There are millions of Americans out there that don't care. Even though I wasn't born yet I do care. My dad, a Norwegian immigrant served on the Destroyer Escort DE-167 USS ACREE in the south pacific during the war. Even though he is gone now, I will always honor him and all of the men and women of The Greatest Generation on this day. Here is to all of you! :beer; :usa2:

What great man to have served our country with so much pride and selflessness.

Today was an awful day that both scarred and brought our country together.

I loved the story on the news this week about the 104 year old survivor who was going back for the reunion.

My great grandfather had slides from the attack...his personal slides. He passed in 1987. I have those slides now. They are HAUNTING!!!!.

Went to Hawaii last winter and was told I had to go see Pearl Harbor. It was something I can never forget. Very humbling. After you watch a 30 minute film you take a boat across to the USS Arizona and I am sure you could hear a pin drop when you come out of the movie. If any of you ever get over there you have got to go see everything at Pearl Harbor. It will stay with you forever. A day in history that will never be forgotten.

We did that in 2012. It was fantastic.
