I have an 08 D-8..ride with several D-7's..only one will come close to hanging with mine motor wise..and it had race twins, doug ruth porting, reeds and head..and was the equal on the hill......(has now gone to a turbo)The D-8 will out perfom the D-7(unless the 8' isnt setup right)

Its kinda like loading your gun with only 3 shells, when it holds 5! Your only cheating yourself!

Went with the 09 700. So far, Slp pipe/can combo, and clutching. Lefty's throttle. Venting. More to follow.

Good Choice! I got tired of all the problems with my old d8. Left me on the mountain twice! Felt like it was going to break every time I rode it. Got the 09 700. clutching and slp can. 400 miles zero problems so far. runs great!

I have the 09d8 and it did stumble in the mid range. On the longer trails is the only place i really noticed it tho. Polaris recalled that motor and put the 2010 pistons/rings/ and fuel map in and it is suposed to the cure all.

I went with a hm turbo and saved my updates for later. Hm turbo comes with a tune with attitude controller and eliminated any stumbling that the motor had.

Back to the point the 2010 d8 should be a strong reliable sleigh with that motor in it
