M monstermash Free Member Jan 13, 2013 #1 My sons 2006, 700 RMK started acting funny today. When you first take off, its like running on 1 cylinder, and when you get to about 4000 RPM, it takes off on both. I replaced the plugs and it didn't do any good. Any suggestions?

T TriumphoverU Free Member Jan 14, 2013 #2 Try replacing the spark plug caps and trimming about 1/4" of spark plug wire back to give the new caps some good core to bite into.

S sloan188 Free Member Jan 14, 2013 #3 Check the connectors for the coils themselves. I had a pin that came out on one of mine once. Have you ever checked the flywheel? The inner ring will come out cutting the wires to the stator and can cause similar symptons. The wires in my mag side injector broke once as well causing it to run on one cylinder.
