600 sdi reverse problems

I have an 06 600 sdi with around 500 miles on it. When i got it with about 340 miles the reverse seemed to work ok, now it doesn't work at all. when i press the button it just shuts the machine down. i've warmed the sled up and everything but its still no worrkie. the electric start also doesn't work, it doesn't matter to me, but maybe its somehow related.

besides that the sled runs good, so i'll keep ridin it and have a dealer look at it after the season is over. just wonderin if anyone might know whats going on???

Usually when they die going into reverse it is due to low compression but with only 500 miles seems unlikly but I would check it anyways.

Check your battery, if it is low on juice reverse won't work.

I had the EXACT same problem. I replaced the battery and it fixed it.

Compression should be between 110-115 psi.

SDI Reverse issue

Had same issue on my second sled. The fuse was not fully inserted. So feel strongly you have either a fuse or battery issue. HTH

Most of the time when hitting the RER button and the engine dies it's because the belt deflection is just a little too tight. Loosen it up a bit and see if that takes care of it.
