I am looking for a 600 for my girlfirend and I assumed these sleds were efi but I have been informed they are not. Please tell me that I do not have to rejet these to ride different elevations? I ride from 2000 feet around home up to 8000+ in the mountains.

Do they have a compensation setup like skidoo has so you never have to touch the carbs?

If you are looking at a new one they do have CFI. Some of the older carbed ones have altitude compensation but not all. What year you looking to buy? There are aftermarket altitude compensation units that you can put on as well.

I was looking at an 08 600 rmk with the 144 track. I guess in that year only the 155 had the CFI

I installed a Holtzman variflow on our 600 with an EGT gage and it works well. If I was to do it again I would have bucked up for the Holtzman ATACC sytem that adjusts for temp and altitude automatically. You don't want to have to rejet this machine if you don't have to as it's a giant pain in the butt getting the air box back in. If you do end up buying this sled going down one size on the pilot jet helps tune the bottom end.

Attac

I too have an 08 600 carbed 144. Love the sled, put the ATTAC on it and it works good. Have a good shop do it if you are not mechanical. I am and I still managed to screw it up. That little line they say to not cut, I cut it and it ran crappy. However after I fixed my mistake it runs great. Handling and ride is also great. :beer;
