600 HP numbers??

A 2010 700 rmk has 140 horse stock and 50 pounds heavier than a pro 600. What HP does the 600 pro have? Just wondering what people predictions are on the two head to head. The pro will boondock better but will it out do the 700 on a deep hill?

Thought they were 125 + or - a couple..?? I'd think being so much lighter, with better skid geometry, if it didn't climb as high as the 700 (which I think the 6 would handle it most days), it would be close enough to it that no one is going to win the bragging wars overly convincingly..

heard closer to 130hp (or so)
I think the new Pro Ride 600 would destroy the old 700 RMK personally
in what terms?? probably everything...... ;)

Says hte guys a with a 600...

Haha, I'd have to agree though, at least waht I've read on here:kev:. Only place I see the 700 winning is on harder snow point and shoot hill climbs.

not sure on the the 600 but i would be confident that a 660 would be just about any 700 and a good many 800s. not that that is even really relevant to the conversation...

ya that why i am leaning towards the 600 because eventually would like a 660 after warranty expires. 600 cheaper than a 800 and 600 more reliable in years past but who knows now. I have a 2010 700 and I like it a lot.

the new 800 had been pretty reliable. but the 660 i had in my edge sled is still probably my favorite motor i've ever had. just b/c it was such an over performer. rumor mill is there will be some sort of upgrade to the 800 motor next year. although my "sources" are extremely reliable, we hear those rumors every year.

yes I agree on the 800 pro it has been reliable so far. I would take one in a second. I am just 160 lbs and some times like riding smaller sled for a challenge. I am not a huge hill climber like boondocking and sidehilling. Just don't want to not have enough on the deep deep days on the 600. I ve never been let down on my 700 for power always had enough for what i do. I don't know why i just don't get an 800. I must think too much........

The dealership told me the new 600 is at 144 and the 800 is 154. I kind of find that hard to believe.

Track length maybe???
I have only heard +/- 125. Even with that If I was a smaller guy it would be fun, because as a big guy my first full out mountain sled was a 120 hp RMK 600 144. It was sweet when riding with other 6's but I had to upgrade to keep up with the M8's

keep this in mind, as i havent actually logged any miles on my new 600 yet, BUT...

i was thinking the exact same thing as you
i too like to boondock, tree ride and jump a bit
big pulls are for th guys on turbos, and if i cant make it up a hill, ill find somewhere else to play

the power to weight ratio on the Pro Ride is better than your 700
heck its almost better than comparing it to my old REV 800 151

every single review i have read on this sled, is that it flat out performs
many have said it feels like there is a 700 under the hood

for me the choice was a no brainer
i picked mine up for $9700 and to get the 800 was almost another $2k, BUT it had a 155 track, which i didnt want
then the 800 Assault SB, w the 2" track and gripper skiis was almost $15k OTD
no way was i spending that on a new sled

i also had a 03.5 REV Summit 800 144 and it WENT EVERYWHERE i wanted it to

i feel VERY confident this "lil 600" will outperform or keep up w that sled all day long
and im 6'2" 184lbs without gear

F-Bomb made a quote i found when also searching out the 600 vs 800 topic and basically said that this 600 will out perform any REV 800, anytime, anyplace

i have 2 years warranty on mine and will keep it stock till then
after some dyno tests show some increases w a y pipe, mid pip and can combo, ill add that and POSSIBLY a BOSS NOSS kit for the DEEP days...but thats even a maybe yet

sorry for the long winded post, but i think I and YOU will be very happy w the 600 and track length of your choice

Does Carl's even do a 660/685 for the new fuel injected 600? I'm sure they will if they don't but I can't imagine it will be as cheap as the carbed version.

they do a 660, no 685. haven't heard of any plans for a 685, don't know if there is enough room for more than a 660. there are already a few 660s out, and reports are they are running running really strong.

Yes, they have my top end for the 2012 RMK right now. Just came back from plating and will be shipped back to me today. Price isn't that bad - $1500-1600 for the 660 top end kit and ECU reprogrammed.

Not sure why they aren't listing it on their website though, still list for the carbed engines.
