6 Place trailer and Trailblazer

4 years ago, I pulled a 2 place open from Jamestown, ND to the Horns with a 07 Avalanche with a 5.3 with 3:73s and ran it in 3rd the whole way at 3K rpms. On the way up from Ranchester I had to stop twice to let the tranny cool from 225 degrees. There is no way in hell that I would ever pull any kind of trailer with another POS GM 5.3 again. I'd rather drive my hoopty Buick with my sled on the roof than make that trip with that pickup again.

That reminds me of a couple friends that pulled a 2 place from iowa to Laramie with a very similar rig. They ended up trading trucks in Laramie since the tranny went out as they were rolling into town. That was not a good trade.

Short wheel base pulling a long trailer. It will fishtail through the corners and scare the hell out of you! Besides under powered and over working the transmission, its just not safe!
