He's correct. I personally just use a $4.95 balaclava with them. Works perfect. Can protect your entire face or none depending on what you want.

Still waiting on mine also. Good thing that there isn't any snow around here. Just had my trailer broken into and they got two helmets and a bunch of other stuff so I need these goggles to ride.

These Goggles are the hottest thing going!

I'm 509 and I cant even get a couple more gogles...lol....I bought just one to try it before I out fitted the rest of my helmets and I LOVED THEM....

So I try hook up to ride with Tom Saturday and tell him I want two more and he tells me they cant make them fast enough!!

Sounds like the response to the new Dragons....now that there out and people have seen what they can do EVERYONE WANTS ONE!!:D

Theses a sweet goggles if you haven't tried them yet...Keep them on your face and you will never fog...and the lens wipes dry with out any trouble...no water streaks....Maybe they will when there old and scratched up but right now the lens preform AWESOME!

i'm actually a little discouraged ... i got mine in the mail and they look cool as hell ... but they are almost an inch smaller than my scott voltage x otg goggles. they filled up my helmet nicely with the breath deflector. but when i used the 509's they didnt seal up very well and i was getting a lot of wind around them. grantid they didnt fog up but iwas wearing a baclava as well. anybody have any ideas? i have a scorpion exo helmet with the breath deflector and chin guard. i really wanna use those 509's but i need them to seal up better!

brnr 17 i have the scott xi89 turbos are mine the same size as yours.....also i have the scorpion exe snowcross helmet......i just got it..........havent used it yet .......u like yours

I know what you mean :(

I've been pulling my face mask up really high so that I don't catch air underneath my eyes on my cheeks with them ....

I still catch a lot of air on my forehead with them :(

They really are badass goggles, hardley fog at all (they fogged up on me when i got stuck today though hahahaha ;) ) but they really need to have a bigger footprint ...

Maybe they'll make two sizes next year or something ....

I think I'll stick with my usual routine. Wear the scott goggles on the trail in with a balaclava and switch to another pair (509s now) minus the balaclava when I'm riding. On the trail every goggle seems to freeze up because of snowdust from guys in front of me. I haven't ridden with the 509s yet. Saturday will be my first time out this year.

Any chance they will make polarized lenses for the 509's?¨

Or am i stuck with the Oakley Polarized Wisdom? Wich are a bit pricy...

Ditto - can't get them to seal, don't cover very good. It's a shame as they haven't fogged and really like the clarity of the lenses, but they just don't fit right.

I have a pair that I bought from Tom and fitted them to a "Spare" helmet I just bought with a quick strap set-up. (I hated cutting the cool strap but I prefer quick straps)

I bought the GMAX helmet that converts from a motocross type to a full shield type for those really nasty days.
(yes, I know I bought a cheap helmet, but I like how EXTREMELY light it is and it fits very well and there are a ton of vents to keep your head cool)
Anyway, back to the point.:D
The 509 goggles fit this helmet VERY well, almost too tightly with no gaps at all around the opening of the helmet and because of the side cut back opening on the helmet, the goggles fit tightly against my face.
It's a perfect fit:D

I would agree that the fitment on a lot fo helmets are too small. I too had a wind problem the 1st time out. I just pulled my helmet and googles off and pulled the KLIM balaclava up around my mouth and down on the top around my eyebrows....solved the problem! Then we at the play areas, loosen the balaclava up and play hard!

They are great goggles, I love the lens and they hardly ever fog up, but they do need a bigger footprint, I got a little frostbite on my face from them.

They also fit perfectly with my old HJC and new Fly helmet.

One of the ways we are going to expand the footprint for our next gen goggle is by adding thicker foam that extends beyond the frame. This will add the flexibility of not ruining the perfect fit with most helmets, but at the same time sealing up any gaps on those few brands that don't have a perfect fit. Stay tuned for this. In the interim, I highly recommend a $5 balaclava. It will keep the wind off exactly where you want and also block the snow in those deep pow days.

The actual footprint of our frames is as big or bigger than most goggles, other than the humongously oversized Scott's.
