509 aviator goggles suck

I love the look of the Aviator and thought I would find a killer deal at the end of the season but nothing popped up that I found.

Am I just cheap? $125 for goggles seems like a lot of money. I paid a third of that for Scott 89Xi. ??????

I paid $80 shipped, they are polarized and included the fog eliminator fan they are awesome, a lot of bang for your hard earned buck!!

So you got me interested in the Highline w/Eliminator fan. When I go to the web site the price is $119. How did you get yours for $80????

Bought a pair of oakleys last year thinking they would be worth the coin and ended up giving them away half way through the season. WORST goggles ive ever had and they cost toooo much.

IM going with 509 this year as well. Im not sure which ones i tried, but my buddy let me use his one day his sled was down and i was verrry impressed.

Spy optics best goggles IMO. I had some sinisters last year and even with their fancy de fogger fan in the goggle I still managed to fog em up. Spys I can't complain they have been the best goggle for me

I've had mine and sinister for 2 yrs.

Sinisters are great for those sunny pow days....look pretty sweet too!

SMith optics. Goggles and glasses. Truly the best IMO

I have always stuck with Smith or Oakley as well.

Oakley is a lot more expensive but more flashy and some really cool/functional lens options as well.

Smith makes a goggle for every size rider, and every type of condition. And they are half the price of Oakleys or 509s.

I bought a pair of Aviators on impulse and am not happy with them. I do like them for super sunny spring days when there is too much light and reflection going on, and I dont have to worry about fogging from working too hard.

Having problems with the foam on one of my few pairs of 509s so I got ahold of their warranty department and before my procrastinating @ss got them shipped off to get fixed, there's a new "loaner" pair sitting in my mailbox along with a prepaid postage sticker to send mine off. What other company out there does this? Props to you guys for being one of the very few out there that still TRULY takes care of their customers. Incredible. You guys should teach Boss Seats a thing or two about this.

The foam around the nose and forehead came off my second seson in. I fiqured they would step up............. :(

Unfortunately there are many variables on lenses and the foam of the goggles and therefore these components carry a 1 year warranty. There is really no way to repair them back to as new condition if there is foam damage. We do offer discounts with helmet purchases and/or I can offer you a 10% discount code if you wish to purchase another pair. Let me know.

I think I will give Smiths a shot this year

I have tried and currently have Smiths, Scott, and 509 Sinisters. Smiths constantly fogged horrible even with the top vents open. I took them off every time my sled stopped moving, still didn't help. The Scotts were good, but in my opinion the lenses are not very good quality, the clarity seemed to be lacking. Scotts were alot better than the smiths when it came to fogging, but still fogged if i didn't make sure to take them off when i stopped. The 509s are great, 2 seasons on them and still holding up. The lenses are great. I can wear them all day, the foam can be sweat and snow soaked, and they still do not fog. I have seen a tiny bit of fog in them only a couple of times right above the nose peice but it just disappears when you start moving again. I have been using my smiths and scotts as backup in my pack, and the only reason i used them once is because it went from snowy overcast to bluebird sunny and didn't want to take the time to change lense on my sinisters(after an hour of riding I put the sinisters back on because the smiths were fogging). I have ordered another pair of sinisters for backups and the smiths and scotts are out of my pack!
