4yr warranty having a 3,000 mile limit???

So short of calling Polaris, this is what I can gather:
1) 2011 warranty may have different terms than newer, based on the fact that the insurance carrier changed, either in 2012 or more recently? Original called PolarisStar, now PolarisStar by Assurant. Was told that Assurant bought PolarisStar?
2) Polaris FACTORY warranty is different than PolarisStar EXTENDED warranty. Polaris FACTORY warranty may have mileage limitations. Star does NOT.
3) First year of warranty is Polaris either way, then goes to a lesser Polaris warranty second year if extended is not originally purchased.
Thing dude likes to worry about: Polaris warranties.
Thing dude does NOT worry about: Rocks, dirt roads, large trees, cornice drops, open water, getting trucks stuck in snowpiles, being visible when riding, snowstorms at midnight while working on broken turbo Cats.
Ribs feel better, let's go ride!

Great informtion you dug up. Do I know you? How do you know I have a thing for dirt roads etc... :-)

The ECU logs every second of run time, RPM, and throttle position. It will be tough to beat Polaris on this one. They can say "NO" to any warranty claim anytime.

No, Polaris can't simply say they will not warranty something. They have to have proof that what is broke is not going to be covered because of abuse, negligence, etc. They cannot simply say the oil you used caused the problem or that they simply don't want to cover something. The warranty is an implied contract when you purchase the vehicle. This is defined in the Magnusen-Moss warranty act.
