4yr warranty having a 3,000 mile limit???

I came across this post below and wondered if anyone can confirm or deny this? I've got two 2011 PRO with just over 2k miles. Hoping I have 2 more seasons of warranty, and I'm not done with warranty after 900 more miles!!

=======================================================================================
2011 Pro -3 motors and added warranty
2 rebuilds and 1 short block in 2800 miles
2011 Snowcheck has 4 year bumper to bumper warranty but
expires at 3,000 mi.
Had to pay another $800 bucks to extend it
3 more years. Traded this sled, Snowchecked a 2012 Pro, it had 3200 miles on it. Lost 30 days riding with down time.

2012 Pro -1 motor at 1448 mi. Complete shortblock. For 2012 the 4 year
bumper to bumper does not have the mileage limitation.

I ride between 4000 and 5000 miles in a normal year. It's good to have spare sleds. Sidelined this spring do to medical.

I ride with 3 other 2011 Pros and they have rebuilt 4 motors. They are not forum members. To put in perspective we had a 2011 e-tec in the group that replaced 3 motors in 1500 miles last year. Now if we want to talk about Dragons I can fill your shop with used up powerplants.

Ask your Dealer. If he doesn't know, which most of them have not read the complete 4 year BB warranty document, ask him to get a copy of the 2011 warranty from Polaris. I have read it. I was closing in on 3000 miles last year and had to pay for an extended warranty.

Thanks, I recently discovered that my 2009 Polaris Dragon extended warranty had a clause stating that once you have reached total warranty claims that match the NADA retail value of your sled at the time of the newest claim that your sled has basically run out of warranty. This was a surprise to me. Are you sure you didn't run into this same situation and the dealer confused this with a 3,000 mile limit? If you are sure you read about this 3,000 mile limit is there any chance you might have that language around that you could email me? I bought my 2 PROS used from the original owners and did not get a copy of the extended warranty. So far one dealer has told me they have never heard about this 3,000 mile limit. Any details you could get me would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have the four year warranty, which I committed to when I snowchecked.

It definitely didn't say anything about a mileage limit.

Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen if it is true.

Like I said have your Dealer get a copy from Polaris. It is a 3,000 mile limit on the 2011. Do you think I would have shelled out another $800 if I didn't have to?
Again the 2012 has no mileage limit. Did your Dealer tell you that a third party would take over your warranty after the first year of your four year Bumper to Bumper?
My dealer didn't know about the complexity of the warranty until I had him request and receive the full document from Polaris. He was shocked. When you read the verbiage of the full document you will be shocked. We can play this game on the forum, go get a copy from your dealer. I looked last night for the warranty document, must have tossed it when I traded the sled.
In comparison if you bought a duaramax you got a 5year 100,000mile warranty.

I will be asking my dealer for a copy of the warranty with all the fine print. Once i get a copy I will post it with all the fine print. Like I said i was amazed my 2009 dragon warrant had the NADA deal I mentioned above.

If anyone can post a copy of the 3 year portion of 2011 PRO EXTENDED warranty I'm sure a lot of we 2011 PRO owners would like to see it.

My son bought a 2011 Pro R 800 Retro that was less than 1 year old with 4300 miles on it. It had new piston and cylinder installed under warrantee around 3500 miles.
It had been snochecked with the 4 year extended warrantee.

They replaced for him(before the 12 months were up) the hand warmer /light switch assembly.

During second season @ around 6000 miles it blew a VES bellows which was then replaced under extended warrantee
Don't know what the actual warrantee paperwork says, have never seen it.

Well that sounds like what I want to hear. Maybe they were just being nice as it was a small cost item. I wonder what they would have done if it was a small block claim or something else that would be expensive? Still waiting to hear back from my dealer with an answer and copy of the warranty paperwork...

I just find it would be strange if there was no mileage limit or other limitations set on the warranty. All cars and trucks have a year/mileage warranty. Polaris must be pretty confident for 2012 if they don't have any mileage limitations for the 4 year warranty.

I don't think it's confidence... It's might be more that thier warranties have never had mile limits before.

Remember we are talking about the original 2011 Polaris 4year bumper to bumper warranty not the 4 year extended warranty. The extended is what I had to buy for for my 2011 when I reached the mileage limit. The extended did not have a mileage limit.

Did you get extended warranty offers from Polaris in the mail last spring and fall for your 2011 Pro?

I bought mine from the original owners who bought the snowcheck 2011 and opted for the 4 year warranty. I understood that option came with the first year of the warranty directly from Polaris then the next 3 years were from inbelieve Polaris star after market warranty.

Are you talking about folks who went with the 2 year warranty option then extended the warranty for 2 more years? If so which scenario had the 3,000 mile limit? Both or just the 2 year extension version?

Is there something common between your riding group that you have SO many failures? Maybe the fuel, oil, or repair shop you are using is not up to par? That seems really excessive to have so many blown motors spread between a couple of brands, wouldn't you say? Not being an ***....just seems weird.

What if it was their fuel? What if there was something in it that causes problems?

My Dmax only had powertrain for the 5 yr, 100k. B-to-B was 40k. FWIW.

Regardless, your post is great. You have uncovered how Poo was able to do the B-to-B on the 2011, and the key difference between the Poo 4 yr and the aftermarket 4 yr. Bottom line, Poo kept their collective rears covered with their own warranty cost in 2011.

Anyone get their 2011 Snowcheck OEM 4-year Bumper to Bumper full disclosure warranty document?
I asked for another copy last week, and still no response.

Good Lord

Lol, my thoughts exactly!

I'm sorry, but if any other sled manu's made a chassis as fun to ride as my Poo chassis I'd sell and jump to any of the other 4 in a heart bad. Sadly, none of the others are even close. Doo is on the radar, but barely. Other too are out of the competition via weight issues.

But my point is Polaris's only saving grace is they build a damn nice chassis with great components (minus the engine obviously). This sled flat out performs.

But dang, it's that ticking sound coming from the motor that I just can't get out of my head........ (think time bomb, fyi. Tick.... tick.... tick.... tick....)

I stopped by the dealer in Centerville, Utah today for clarification. He said the 4-year warranty on 2013 snow checked sleds has the 3,000 mile max limit, 1 year coverage by Polaris and 3 years insured coverage.
