4 post primary question (off F1000)

I am running a 4 post primary off an 07 F1000 on my 2009 Crossfire 1000 R. I needed to add a shim behind the spider for the new Jaws twin pipes. For the life of me, I couldnt find a spider tool, so I had my dealer do it. I just picked it up and they didnt line up the tabs. I think I already know the answer to this, but can I run it like this? Or should I take it back and have them do it right. Im pretty sure its balanced and needs to have all three tabs line up (cover, spider and sheave).

The tabs don't mater if they balanced the clutch. If they didn't take it back to them and have them fix it.

But my question is why would you need to shim the primary when adding twin pipes. I know nothing about the F series or the crossfires but am assuming the belt width is different between the two and you had to change it.

Otherwise adding twin pipes would have nothing to do with changing the spider and shims.

Because Jaws specifically tells you to in there instructions. I will also be running the 028 belt instead of the stupidly expensive 060. The 028 and shim is the hot ticket for the flatland 1000 guys around here.
