36" arms on an IQ, What do you think???

I am really trying to decide on the stock width ARS-FX arms or the 36" kit, I know with 36" kit I wont be able to run my swaybar and I will need some shorter shocks. I just would like to hear from some guys who have tried it and what you thought about the narrower front end.

thanks

From the bit of reading I've done on the subject it seems that could be a bit narrow on the iq due to the body width. Supposed to be perfect on the narrower pro but would induce my body drag on the iq. I've never tried it though so take my idea for what it's worth. Maybe someone else has run them?

Send mountainhorse a pm. He can give you the scoop. But its my understanding narrower. Is not the best for the iq

What length iq? What are your reasons for more narrow? Trail riding? Once your used to the sway bar off you will like it. With a narrow front end and no sway bar you should be able to get it on it's side. Ask the manufacture how narrow it will be on an iq

I am interested in the same thing. I have the 09 assault w 146. I have the stock width zbroz on there now and I love these aarms. I have them in the narrowest position. Are the 36's to narrow for are they jus right? How wide would they be if they are in the widest position?

I don't know about the body width, but you will need a shorter shock to run the 36". One benefit of the narrower a arms is that you could go from the narrow ski stance with the wide arms to the narrow arms and the wide stance on the skiis to bring in the spindles, reducing their chance of drag or hitting something, as I have done in the past. Granted I wouldn't spend a grand just for that.

Does the 36" a-arm kit from Z-Bro's come with shorter radius (steering) rods? I would think they would have to which if used on a Dragon, will require the inner and outer tie-rods from a Pro due to the metric threads on the hardware.

BTW, I have a brand new set of take off shocks from a '13 Pro that will work with the narrow front end kit.

I don't think you are going to find anyone who has run the narrow kit on the Dragon. The guys were testing them on Pro's last year...

Anybody running the 36's on iq yet? Please give some feedback, I broke one of arms today and want to know whats best for tight boondocking

Wholly hell how much do you weight? At 39" it's too tippy for me I keep my stance at 40". I could see if it's too narrow you might get the same problem the cats have and you get hung up on the body in a side hill under the dash.

Thanks. I wasnt sure, I have stock assault frontend now and it sucks. I aint concerned at all about trail riding.
