im looking at maybe doing 36" a arms, what is everyone that has used thems thoughts and would you recomend zbroz or alt. impact? its on a 14 800 pro

just bought a alt impact 36' kit for my 13. i have 4 rides on them now. i really liked them right away but the other day i rode in maybe 2' and i have no regrets whats so ever. Like a dirt bike in a way, but not to the extreme. Dans stuff is to me as good as it gets. Wanted to get a raptor shock package with them but wanted to see if i liked the stance first. The wife has an assault and is getting to be a better ride all the time so after her riding mine it looks like instead of me getting new shocks she will be getting a 36'' kit. besides the quality the two things i like the most were the fact that you can use the sway bar, and the way dan explained it with the lower control arms having a replacable rod end style you had a good chance bending it instead of the arm if you hit something. I think less $ than zbros too.

Thanks guys. Did the ride quality change when you went to them and did you lose any weight?

I have also had them both. I had the zbros 39'' on my 13 and had terrible problems with them breaking. Not sure if they fixed the issues with the bearing ends, and the spindle hitting, but makes little difference now. This is my second set from alt impact and im very happy with both sets and yes the customer service is above and beyond. I did notice a very slight difference in the trail manners after going to the narrow at higher speeds on corners but nothing that cant be fixed with backing off the gas for a second to make the turn. To be expected i thought, and like i said its hardly a major change. Never having the zbros 36'' i couldnt say for sure, but i would think they would be very noticeable in that respect not having the mounts for the sway bar.

Rode with a guy a few weeks ago with alternative impacts... Long story short he noticed his a-arm was bent after hitting "nothing significant". Stock arms were way stronger. Last I heard he was gonna call alternative impact about the chromoly quality... Hopefully it's just a bad batch, not impressed at all

Breaking parts sucks no 2 ways about it. All i know is thats not been my experience and i dont put around on the trails unless i have my daughter on board.

Dan is a great guy and makes great stuff. I've had zbroz ,also, with good luck. There is always going to be someone, who can break stuff, and think that it shouldn't have broke. I glanced off a little 3" tree, or i should say ran over, with a stock 12 pro and stock arms. At the end of the day I seen my lower arm was bent. Never would have thought that would've happened. I wouldn't worry about dan's arms. It can happen with any of them. It does help that I'm only 40 miles from his house so if I bent something I could get it replaced faster than getting a stock arm at the dealership.
