How are everyone's 3" lug tracks holding up?
I got about 250 miles on mine and there are lugs flyin off right, left and center, mostly left hahaha.
I hear that the first batch were bad with some new lamination process camo tried. Could it be I ended up with one of the first batch or are they all coming apart?
After running a 3" I'd hate to go back to 2.5"......

Mine had 1 center lug tearing almost right off the bat but it held on for about a 1000 miles before it let go. Other than that is is holding up well. Had to cut it for my M chassis though and just heard back from Camo and they have no plans for a 15" wide version.

broke the jackshaft today and lost lugs being pulled at slow speed!!! hahaha
Definitely a bad track, whole thing coming apart.....

Sad to say the 3" is like a soft race tire on the cars, works fantastic but short lifespan, just part of the game I guess. I will go with 2.5 and live with 1 sled length less on all but my low use mod sled, figure I can replace it every 2 years....In all honesty with a light sled/high power the 2.5 works just about the same, adjust clutching, higher track speed, lasts longer.

Gotta disagree on works the same, I have 2 turbo 174 M1000s and the 1000 with the 3" will spank my 1200 with the 2.5, not that the 1200 won't go anywhere the 1000 will go it does so with more effort and track spin. The 3" is more forgiving in slow deep snow manouevers and is definitely the sled that gets more seat time since I built it. It is slower on top end though but if I wanted a lake racer I would have put a 141 on it.

so a couple of lugs tear off... bah who cares, really!. just stop running over rocks and stumps. as long as the track is not structural comprimised your fine. We have one in out group and have not torn any off yet, but at 1000km its not too old. We have found a couple track clips missing though, still not concerned.

2 man job, better yet with 3 pairs of hands. Table saw is best, set the fence to the correct size and with 1 guy holding each end up the third makes sure the track stays tight to the fence while cutting. It will cut really easy , use a squirt of wd40 as ya cut , blades pretty much done with 1 track cutting.

I've run a 162" X 3" on my turboed apex for over a 1000 miles and I have not lost a single lug. I have one that is partly tore half way down. Other than that I have no complaints.

Well I ordered another one, looks like its hit or miss if they stand up!
I have run allot of tracks over allot of rocks and stumps so please don't act like this is the first track I've owned. This three inch has never touched a rock or stump.
My 2.5 2.86 has seen a boat load of rocks over the last couple seasons, in fact I put a rip in the side belting and part of a lug the very first ride on it. Still looks the same today!! The three inch problem is not in the lugs but the whole outside layer, compleatly delaminating , large patches of nothing but fabric showing, rubber all gone!!!

The thing we have seen that kills the 3" tracks is hauling @$$ down the trail. Other then that the 2 in our group are holding up well
