3 inch track... Whos doin one?

McFarckle... that's partly true

Carls will have the first run of the CENTER PUNCHED TRACK that will run the custom AVID drivers that do not require the rails to be trimmed.

You can buy the 3" tracks and have them in Sept/October from other vendors like OTS etc... but thosewill NOT have the center driver holes punched and you WILL need to trim the rails and for good measure run the anti-stab kit from Ice Age etc. The center hole is not a requirement to run on this sled IF you run the Arctic Cat style AVID drivers.

MH, Have you heard definitively yet what configuration Camo chose for the internal drive nubs? I'm waiting to get reliable intel before I get my large 9 Tooth drivers machined.

Same as a powerclaw track... with little guide nubs on the outside edge.

Note for others reading this..... while it is "possible" to trim off ever other little nub and run standard combo drivers like Wahl bros... you will not be turning the track efficiently and will be running off the extro-teeth the majority of the time.

Get the correct drivers that are made for this track...

This kind >>> https://www.avid-products.com/store/ProdDet.cfm?ProdID=132

This is for a hex shaft, they make the right ones for Polaris This is for the 13/14 hex shaft.

Talked with someone at Carls yesterday, they are taking $400 deposits for the center punched track and expect them to show up sometime in late September.

Couple of questions-
Is there pros or cons to running the center punch? I realize this means you don't have do an anti stab kit, but anything else?

If you trim your rails and run anti stab can you go back to stock track and drivers with those rails with out issue?

Lastly Carls said they could do my clutching for the 3" track, should I have them do it or are there better options such as roosterbuilt?

I ran a 156 3" last year on my turbo, had too much ski lift for my liking. I think it will be a great track on a geared down stock ride, again just my opinion.

Shane,

With the center ported track and the non extro drivers like robbie made....You don't have to cut the rail tips off nor run anti-stab kit.

More of a bolt on deal.

The UN-center-punched X3 tracks will be avail in 156"x15" , 162"x15" and 174 x 15" wide.

All are 3" pitch and all require that either 7 tooth drivers be run or a Drop/roll Chaincase/belt drive like the, Ice Age, AVID, CMX or C3.

So what is the difference between this "X3" track and the new 3" track that camoplast released last year? just the center drive holes?

Per Ice Age: Yes you can run the cut rails without the anti-stab if you go back to stock

Amazing! Track hook ups really well on packed trails, and it's just keeps pushing you in the deep stuff. It will be hard to ever go back to a smaller paddle.

My 5.1 is already damaged on 8 lugs at about 10 hours of riding on my 2014 pro rmk 163.

Does the X3 is tougher?

Do you loose alot of power vs the 5.1?
