as far as i could find its air intake temp sensor, i put a known good one in it and i still got the check engine light "3" anything i can check or do, or test????

My 09 manual shows the "3" as a intake air temperature circuit voltage being high or low or the barometric pressure sensor voltage being high or low.

intake above 4.9 or below .19 vdc
pressure sensor above 3.23 or below 1.25 vdc

can somebody help with this pos still getting the 3 flashes changed ecu, intake temp sensor, took it to my dealer they put it on the star tool so intake temp sensor erratic symptoms

is there anyway i can test these things i cant really afford to have polaris do all of this????

also i maybe its just me but when it runs the best the handwarmer seem really hot like they use to be when i first got it, now that i think about it they havnt been getting very warm they use to almost burn my hands. i thought they were shorting out or something i unhooked them and i still get the 3 flashes

if i shut it off tire it up no check engine as soon as i tap the gas it comes on, sometimes this thing will work perfect then 10mins later check engine

Sounds like you may have a compromise in your wiring at the connector possibly. Check for a loose/broken wire at the connector/terminal for your intake/baro sensor.

is there anyplace i can get a wireing scematic????? this thing is really pissing me off, when it run it runs really good i was turning 45 mph track speed last weekend, when it ran good today i dont know what track speed but i was bounceing off the rev limiter 8800.

can somebody please upload a scamatic. i think i might have a bad ground since my hand warmers dont get very warm or atleast tell what pins the intake temp sensor is at in the ecu connection and where the grounds are on the chassis and in the ecu???

would any other sensors affect my temp sensor??? ive cleaned checked.

could it be my fuel controller???? is there anyway i can test this

Search member treeslut. He has a post that has a service manual for 07-08 RMK's. The wiring schematic is in there.

ok well i found a scamatic my intake temp sensor is 4.96 when my check engine comes on its 2.30ish why does it do this???

My guess would be the ECU is seeing a false signal from the t-bap sensor. Since you say you have tried a known good t-map sensor, try swapping the ECU and see whay happens.

When the check engine light comes on, the ECM goes into a Fail safe mode and is probably splitting the difference in voltage (4.96 volts and then goes to 2.3 volts) I'll bet you that there is probably a compromise in the wiring/connector somewhere and the ECM kicks the code and goes to Fail safe. I believe there is only 4 wires going to the sensor so it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out.

A quick test you could doo would be to disconnect the sensor AND the ECM and perform simple continutity tests on the wiring noting which wire is what with the schematic. Or like SuperDave rec's trying a different ECM

got it figured out bad fuel controller its on its way back he said i might get it back by the end of this week or next week kinda bummed

So its a POS, you constantly throw Polaris under the bus, and it turns out to be a aftermarket POS fuel controler. I dont get it with some people.:face-icon-small-sad

i have yet to say anything bad about the 700 other than iam scared that my vr and ecu might go out, and yes i throw polaris under the bus about the 800 and iam not the only one everyday theres a new post about the 800 this 800 that, everything that has gone wrong on my sled because of me, how many 800 owners can tell you that there problems were caused by them maybe 10 out of 1,000s "use your dipstick jimmy" jeeeeeez

I am not the first one on here to say this but why dont you STFU about the 800 issues! You dont even have a dog in the fight. For every one 800 problem I can show you 100 800's with no issues. I am not trying to say there are no issues with the 800 but the problems are not as wide spread as people on here make them out to be. I feel for the guys with runability issues.

As for you not having anything negative to say, I have to disagree, thats about all you say on here.

dave check my posts for 1.5 months i gave up on it your the one who brought it back up. and i can refer to my sled as a pos all i want sorry that me calling my sled a pos hurt ur feelers man. if i had a 800 iam 75% sure i would have problems is that a good thing that i should expect that? exspecially if i dont own one. i gave up on the bashing the 800 for the most part. why dont you go harras all the other guys that complain about them.

i think they should make a sticky for blown up 800s because this forum is full of new threads about it, it would help clean this place up ok iam done:face-icon-small-sho
