Has this sled ever had the injectors "updated" to the new yellow injector code?
I would look for a bad crank seal or a cracked intake boot. Sucking in air and running lean
What was your previous problem? Mine doesn't come down from 2500 ever.
I am the one who started 2500 RPM idle post this summer, so this is my previous problem
Did you upgrade to the "Updated Yellow Injectors"?
Polaris had a run of 2011 "updated" injectors that are actually 2012 injectors with the 2011 part #'s on them. I encountered this recently when I was working on a rush, I upgraded to the "new" injectors and had the ECU reprogrammed, the sled never stopped idling under 2500 RPM. Tried everything, swapped electronics, ecu's, TPS, Tmap, reset TPS, I was going CRAZY trying to figure it out and was speaking with a Polaris tech rep going over a list of potential issues. I paused and said the only thing that was weird was the old injectors had 3 sealing 0-rings and the new injectors had 2 o-rings. He sent me a picture and when I verified I had removed 11 injectors and that the updated injectors were in fact mis packaged 12 injectors. Got new 11 injectors, and issue was instantly fixed.
Hey,
False alarm..
I just went out and tie wrapped all the wiring back together and on to the frame and started it up.... she did not come down from 2500rpm at all.. Took her for a ride.. still 2500rpm. Not sure what is going on.
Disconnect throttle cable from throttle block and see what is does. Maybe as simple as a frayed throttle cable, who knows?
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm done...
