Recently picked up a 24 boost 165, it is set up for high elevation.
The majority of riding will be done out west, however I would also like to use it locally in the U.P. of Michigan which is around 1500'

I see Polaris calls for heavier primary weights, a different helix and different QD gearing.
How much is actually necessary or would it be fine with just primary weight change?

My Brother and I are both on 2024 165 boosts and split between CO/WY and the UP, we both have the Indy Dan magnet style adjustable weights and his secondary helix, we just add weight for UP trips, did nothing with the quick drive and everything works fine. With that said we’re both likely switching to P85 primaries and TRS Clutching for them as the P22 is pretty lackluster on the bottom end.

Im running a setup from speedwerx, and they assured me that the clutching essentially stays the same from high to low on stock power. IMO, as far as the gearing goes, it keep it at high elevation, i never really worry about gearing up for the low elevation.
