23’ Boost Cutout

I have a 23 boost with 70 miles on it.

It’s got a silber stage 1 tune, c&s clutching, trs powervalve and SLP can.

Last season when I bought it, I installed the tune, can and clutching and it ran perfectly on the first ride.

On the 2nd ride last year, I noticed it started randomly cutting out a few times when I was in and out of the throttle. It’s not a bog. It’s a complete cutout with zero acceleration.

Over the summer the sled sat in a very hot shed. Late this fall, I installed a zero carbon hood and the trs powervalve.

I took it for a ride on Sunday and right out of the gate it started doing the cutout again. But it was very random. Then a bit further up the trail it started cutting out if I went over 70-80% throttle. When I cutout on top, it sounded like it was dropping 1 cylinder.

Im wondering if this is the dreaded wiring harness issue or is it something else?

Fuel pump going out? Low fuel pressure would cause this, especially at higher rpm's.

had the same problem with my sled last year. took it in twice they did injectors the first time and not clear what the second thing they did was because it was at the end of the season last year. took it out once this year and it seems to be fixed but I am still not 100% confident. it wasn't the fuel pump witch I thought it was at first. I think it was injector/wiring issues. taking it out tomorrow for the second ride.

I had a similar problem with cutting out, took a year to figure out because we started with fuel and spark scenarios, also no lights or check engine codes. Was at the shop at least 3 times to no avail. After I drove to Canada 14 hours for a 3 day ride did I start correlating the problem with clutching. Sounds crazy but I was always watching the RPM's for the sputter or cut out, had 3 days to watch the shift point of the clutch and noticed, once it shifted up it was fine even going below the suspect rpm range by going downhill then back up in rpm as long as it didn't shift down. We put stock P-22 clutch back on and problem went away, I had bought a kit with muffler and clutch upgrade the year before, I thought or felt the same way as OP.
