2025 Ski-Doo Rumors and Predictions

Did you really buy into the idea that the 2 piece driveshaft was designed to change the track easily?? How much does that benefit BRP? They make less if you take the sled in for a track change that you paid for. How many tracks get changed under warranty?

I believe the real reason for the 2 piece driveshaft would be so during production the chaincases can be fully assembled and full of oil prior to slapping it on the sled. The old way the sled was likely turned on its side on the production line while a worker installed the gears and chains into the case and only after the track was installed, the oil could be added. Much faster with the 2 piece driveshaft design.

I have been trying to envision this, someone still has to assemble the chain case, whether it’s on a bench or assembled on the sled I cannot see how it’s saving time.

the more efficient assembly line idea is just a rumor with no substantiation.
it’s logical but it’s based on assumptions.

That is definitely false. My buddy is disappointed with his Lynx after riding a new G5 expert on the same hill.
I wondered why lynx sleds were being introduced here. just for something different or? Always nice to have options but seems like a mixed bag of reviews.

Fix the ugly headlights, better dash storage, buddy tracking, no recalls, and a 3-4 year spring order warranty for the 2025s would be fine with me.

What will we actually get? Probably a dongle to add GPS to the big gauge that will cost a lot. Gotta keep those shareholders happy!

At the time, this was my theory....
If there's an established Doo dealer, BRP won't drop another one say 20 miles away, but there's nothing keeping them from from dropping a Lynx dealer there. I guessed that was their plan to saturate the market.
I'm glad I was wrong!

at least one more year of warranty would be huge but longer warranties increase the price of the sled and people complain about the price more than anything else so there’s that.

using higher quality components/design would theoretically reduce the need for longer warranties but that also raises cost so there’s a balance somewhere but only brp knows where that is.
-tapered tunnel like poo would prolly be a good idea but not a huge deal

I do a lot of riding with guys on the other brands.

Those guys have broken sleds every week, fouled plugs all the time, a new recall every week, the list is long, over heating anywhere there is not 12” of powder. Less than stellar deep snow performance.

From what I see my Skidoo has been super solid. No powder bogs, no fouled plugs, no stop ride stop sale stuff, no over heating etc.

I see a lot of complaints for what I see as trivial items.

Are there a few small stupid issues, sure there are. But I’m not going to let that ruin my sledding season.

It is funny you mention overheating because it is the Doo's in our group that run hotter if there is limited powder. They MUST take their snow flaps with them or get hot. Both Axys and Matryx have been about the same for temperatures for me. 165 tracks so maybe that makes a difference? I have seen spark plug issues but never experienced it.

Aesthetics aside the other brands headlights weigh more than what we have will take light weight over prettier lights. Better storage=weight not thanks lots of options to add storage to our sleds currently.

Recalls? Did you accidentally think you were on the Polaris forums [emoji1787] 100% with you on better warranty this 2 year warranty to needs to stop. Considering they probably won’t drop MSRP anytime soon and the used market flooded with sleds and leftovers I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a 3 year option on the 25’s for incentives. I think we are a few years away from having a big gauge that everyone is going to be happy with

If they are on turbos that’s expected with the shorter tunnels, stay off the boost. The shorter the tunnel the less cooling capacity on the same heat producer.
