sled falls on his face as if it hits rev limiter at 8200rpm. SSI y pipe and can with altitude clutch kit. and specialty belt drive with stock 2.6 ratio. Put clutching back to stock and same thing. Any ideas?

UMMMMMM...... Thats About normal..... Where do you think it should be Reving to?

Did you try the stock can? Does it do it all the time or only sometimes? Throttle safety switch unplugged? Power valve cables within spec and clip intact? Intake sealed and not ingesting snow?

did not try the stock can. only seems to do at lower elevations. throttle safety is still how it came from factory. i will look at power valves. intake is sealed.

Cable spec is 36.5mm they do stretch once the cables break in and should be periodically adjusted and checked

If it’s only doing it at lower elevations it shouldn’t be the power valve cables as it would do this all the time if that was the case. It could just be hitting the rev limiter, and your not seeing it go past 8200? It will do it quick then bounce back down? At this point though if you hold it wide open as it’s doing this and your on a trail you will/should hit full shift on your clutches and your belt will eventually explode as it can’t take the heat for very long. Have you blown any belts while it’s doing this?

Throttle safety switch is the grey plug located above the coolant bottle by gas tank on the clutch side. Try unplugging, but ensure to always wear tether

With the SSI Y-Pipe your peak RPM is a little lower than with the stock Y-pipe.

Should be able to maintain 8200rpm

Yes it should be able to Maintain 8200 rpm. My 2020 will run 8200-8250 all day long. I have the SSi titanium can and their clutching in my sled right now and I am running my weights 1-3-2-1 from the heel and at 9800 foot it will still go right to 8150-8200 in deep snow in a climb and hold it there . So does it start to stutter or cut out ? Did you try putting the stock Y-Pipe back on yet? I believe with the SSI Y-Pipe your peak rpm or where it's going to make the most power is at 7900 rpm.

I literally have the exact set up at you. Even the altitude clutching. I had the same rev limiter type issue until I was thru break it. Just ride it. It’ll go away. Mine has.

I have 350 miles on my 2020 HC and I seem was noticing today in the deep snow I get 8050 max RPMs today around 8900ft.

The only addition is a GGB trail can which has been on since day one

I was getting 8150 RPMS just a week ago. On the trail home today If I held it wide open for 2-3 seconds I was still only getting 8050 RPMs

Any suggestions? Would cleaning the clutches help this? How are the power valve cables adjusted? How about the throttle cable, that is something I dont know how to adjust either.

Thanks for any advice

Cleaning the clutches and checking your springs would be someplace to start.
