2019

Poo has enough engine issues. I doubt they'd wanna gamble with a stroker...

Stroking the engine would be the best thing they could do, longer skirted pistons (like and modern fix kit), which means less piston rock. More bottom end! That would be a great move

For 2019, it looks like the same pistons, stroker crank for 840 cc displacement, but all new chassis. I thought Polaris wasn't releasing a new engine and new chassis in the same year anymore, but the motor isn't really new, just a longer stroke. Should be a torque monster.

I heard the same thing about the motor but not in a new chassis.

If I was a betting man. New 850 Engine, Narrower Front End, modified track angle, slightly changed track profile. On the existing AXYS platform. With the most important Bold New Graphics.

What he said.

I've been trying to run down the rumors myself because I was trying to decide between an '18 with the ridiculous discounts or hold off a year. Sifting through everything I've heard I'd say this is the most accurate.

I pulled the trigger on the 18 by the way. It's for my wife and I just can't see her thinking she needs an even bigger engine or a narrower front end.( coming off a 2016 600 ) Happy Valentine's Day honey! It'll be your favorite color of blue soon!

I'm holding you to that, Tim!

Pol already has the lightest, most nimble, easy to ride chassis on the market. My guess is the axys will be around for a while with it's handful of weak points addressed. Perhaps it will make a 10 year run with a plethora of engine options to come like the wedge 1988-1998 [emoji869][emoji16][emoji869]

Hmm... I heard the exact same thing. Gonna be great!

Too bad it'll be $37,000 CAD. I'm scared of the pricing. Polaris has jacked theirs over the last couple years, and ski-doo has lowered theirs, so they aren't as far apart as they used to be. When I snowchecked my '16 3"X163, it was out the door for just under 13g. The '17 174 was $15,600 AFTER the golden ticket. Didn't snowcheck an '18. I could see 20g for the new one though.

You need a New Dealer or he must be sending Christmas Cards !! My 2017 SC was 12,150 with no Ticket , 2018 SC was $12,650 no Ticket (+$400 for Guage I added that or it would have been $12,250 .. these prices are OTD with 6% tax included

And 2018 Freerides Run $14,250 for 156 and $14 660 for 165 ordered one of each last year Same tax OTD

The Dealers get vouchers ($750 I've been told) towards the in season lineup from our Snowchecks so ask only how much they are making on your sale not any price .. don't matter to me if the sled is $1 or $20,000 I just want to be fare to all dealers and keep things affordable, being that my resale is destroyed by the low prices they dump the in season ones at !!!!

I have a good dealer that understands that I have increased my Number of Preseason orders to 5 after we came to a agreement of how to help each other !!! He can make $1000 on One Unit or Almost $4000 from the extra ones I pick up each year. ( The golden tickets get delivered to each I'm not using those for my benefit or I will loose what I've got ) I'm just a Farmer all I know is how to lose as little money every day as possible and spread the looses across a wider feild of stuff I'm going to lose more money on !

PM me if your close by I can increase my order to as many as needed . The dealer I use sells very few snowmobiles so they are happy to do this .

Very interested in how this pans out. Either I will trade my 16 & get a 19 Axys if updated to my liking or jump ship to a 850 or dare I say maybe a 18/19 Cat. Owning my Axys without a warranty has me really nervous for some reason. Like owning a 100K German car. Its just a matter of time before something bad happens.

The 18 SC’s actually came down a good bit from the 17’s. 17 SC sleds were the most expensive (in Canada at least).

LMFAO I have both.. :bounce: oh oh.. better change up the fleet! :face-icon-small-ton

I've got two Mercedes, one just over 200k, the other 240k with original engine and transmission. Now, they're an 89 and a 90, from before their quality went down the toilet. But yeah, part of the reason I'm still riding my EDGE is it's durable and cheap/easy (most things) to work on. I'll upgrade eventually, probably buy something brand new down the road, but only when I can pay cash and unload it once it's out of warranty without grimacing. Guess it speaks to what Polaris is building these days – and you can tell by my vehicles – I don't like dumping money into things that are built to be disposable.
