No issues in cold weather? How cold do you usually see it?

This will be the third sled that I have had this battery in and so far it's always started. It doesn't get real cold here though. I've only rode a couple of times where it got much below 0 degrees F.

I think the key with using a lithium battery in a sled, is to get one that has a higher CCA rating then a lead/acid battery to help compensate for the cold weather. That said, if I lived in an area where it got really cold consistently I probably would run the stock battery.

155 pro 2.6 full of fluids #512 non es. What does the electric start weigh on the cat?

Not sure exactly, but probably around 30-32lbs with a stock battery and 20-22 lbs with a light weight battery.

From what I've read, once you get below zero the current Lithium batteries are not reliable in a sled.

18 mc weight

I weighed my 18 MC with SSI Stainless steel can and fuel of oil to the top, full of fuel to the top, belt, stock tool kit and factory bag and it was 525.4,
3" 153" track. Nothing else done to it.

2017 Pro RMK full to top with oil and gas, Z broz arms, clicker shocks
SSI titanium can and has the 2.6" track and it
weighed 515.2

Same scale from above.

Here is the spec sheet that came with my 18 MC 153 non-electric start that I picked up yesterday for any that are interested. Dry weight for the 153 is 457lbs. 162 is 463lbs. Put a can on it and ride it. These sleds work.

Kevin Hubbard just posted some interesting numbers on the Facebook. Hope he won't mind me regurgitating this. Out of the crate non-ES: 162 @ 452# and 153 @ 449#. Right at 550# full of fluids (assume that's 153).

He also weighed a 2016, 2018 late build, and trail tank fuel tank. 2016 and 2018 are the same and trail tank is still 3lb lighter. So Cat must not have gotten their new lightweight tank into production.

Dear god how will I ever keep up for a full day of riding with that fat pig between my legs. Cat needs to get that 10 pounds off its ridiculous that they are this far behind in technology on a new sled.

For those that can't sense sarcasm...

Gripper skis, trash the flap, trash the idler wheels, pull foam and, do handlebar controls and you are within 6 pounds. Assuming you care that much. Personally I'd just ride it and pack one less beer than my poo buddies this also pays off when they are dehydrated by noon and I'm feeling fresh.

Congrats guys, Cat currently has the lightest sled that doesn't need modifications to stay together!!

I feel very comfortable knowing I have a Pro Climb chassis under me. Last year I rode a SKS most of the time, and I was always worried something would go wrong.. and it usually did. A lot of guys tell me they have lots of miles with no issues on the axys.. and that's great, but I'll take the extra weight any day if it means I don't need to limp home, get towed or pay out the *** for repairs!! Cat built this chassis right, its too bad the "dry weight police" can't see that.

Both tanks are 12.5 gallons. The weight loss was suppposed to be in the plastic. Just seems like they didn't do it. Tank part numbers are the same for a 17 or 18.

my 17 says 11.7 but i guess the spec sheets are useless now? the guy who prints these specs is somewhere with his feet up cracking cold ones laughing his a$$ off.

That was the mtn Cat tank? That was the only sled that got the light weight tank.
