Has anyone ran 3" track with 8 tooth drivers ...will they fit ??
Believe what you want, I said real measurements, I e actually measuring around the drivers it is not a true 8 pitch or 7 pitch.
Look up the other thread all the info is there, It is a 9% not 12.5!
If the poo track is a 2.86 I think it can be ran, still don't know why you would run it though over the pc
I run the 8 tooth and 3" clears with about 3/8"

That's seems like lots of room. Wonder why cat bothered ?
3/8 is not a lot but barely enough, the track flexes and jumps around a lot and leave no room at all of it where to ratchet.
Need some 21/48 gears with 7 tooth to get a 2.48 would be a good setup I think our even higher for a turbo

The reason I was asking about which tracks will fit different drivers is we/my family rides my mountain sleds on lakes fields and trails here at my home which is at 1500 feet elevation. Speed is very hard on 3" tracks as you know. I've totally ruined the first 3" camplast track I bought. I've replaced that track with a camoplast X3 and don't want to ruin it also. The 2016 I ordered will have cats 3" on it and I don't want to ruin it ether. I'd like to find some used tracks to run on my sleds at home so I don't ruin my 3" tracks. So if I have more options on what fits on cats drivers it'll help me save my 3" tracks for the mountains.

I have a similar issue , if i were to have a track for the flats id get a older pc and cut the paddles down to where it is no longer back beveled. I think that would make a great and cheap flat land track
cheaper yet..

how long does it take to swap tracks?
If you have a belt drive it should be pretty comparable to how long it took to swap tracks on the old M-series.
How do you ruin a 3" I have yet to ruin a track on anything except rocks and trees. But do what you want, for life elevation trail you will need to gear that b1tch way up!

My 2012 M1100T EVO super chute 300hp sled ruined a camoplast 3" track in short order. It spit lugs off left and right. 80-100 mph across lakes is very hard on 3" tracks. There was more than 10 lugs missing when I took it off and threw it in the garbage. I ran it with the stock 8 tooth drivers and C3 belt drive geared up. This sled will do 100 mph easily and needs to be geared higher yet.
