2016 axys RMK... beginning to see some details.

LMAO, "Snow" that's what I was thinking. I will make a wager that it is a 15" track. No reason for the change

Haven't heard much mention of something...

Sounds like the short track guys have pretty well figured the motor is 160 hp stock. Just got the email from SLP about the new pipe they've built for it. Adds 9 hp. So now just that alone puts you at 169 shoot lets just call it 170 hp. Now that is gettin up there gentleman! Especially for just a sled an a pipe. An considering that we'll clutch it better than the other two (ok three) flavors, should be no problem to have all ur buddies suckin snowdust! Imo.

P.S. With some light modding, I'm gonna be out running some of the Pro big bores.

Did American Snowmobiler dyno it at only 148 or something?

Perhaps 146-148 new when brand new

And a real 160+ (@ 8,450 R.P.M.) after 10+ hours running time after break in mode

Even during the break-in mode @ the American Snowmobiler shoot-out in December 2014 the NEW 2015 POLARIS 800 was the quickest and fastest STOCK 800 there

Bwaahahaha.
I can just imagine the look on his face when she fills his request.

Thanks for the unseeable visual. Purge! Purge! Purge!

"Because Arctic Cat built the pencil track in 2003 and it was a bad idea."

Yes but Arctic Cats have always been known for trenching regardless of width. Which makes it a very Poor reason to discount the concept especially on a sled that's half the weight. Snow bikes do quite well with their narrow tracks and lighter weight, even though they are sporting less than half the HP as well.

Agreed everyone brings up that old cat when a narrower track discussion comes up, and I really dont think it's relavant to today's sleds....longer lugs, lighter weight, better track designs, better suspension, more power, less body and running boards dragging. Not the same ball game IMO.

Less weight, yes. But think of the distribution of the weight. Without a rider, most of the weight and weight savings has happened in front of the handlebars. I doubt even the pro is THAT much lighter than any other sled from the handlebars back....then factor in the ratio of the weight of the backend of the sled plus the weight of the rider. I think you will find that regardless of the total weight of the sled, narrowing the track will cause the sled to trench.

That's just my opinion

Bad opinion at that. Pick up an old mountain sled around the same track length from 2003 and then pick up a Pro Rmk and tell me from handle bars back are same weight. I'll tell you this, no they are not.

Did I say they were? Bad opinion or your bad interpretation? I said they were near the same weight. Factor in a 220lb rider and tell me they are significantly different.

Not bad interpretation, just common sense. Factor in lighter tracks, better geometry, lighter skids, lighter riders, better engines and you have a sled that will float very nicely with a narrower track.
