Not sure if that photo above is the next year's model or not?
It comes from a Russian Website that has the following text attached to the image.
The first image pickup truck Ford F- 250 Super Duty on the network.
2016 model year car should debut closer to winter .
No official information on the moment.
It became known only that the back of a pickup is made of aluminum, thereby to reduce weight.
For example , model F- 150 reduced the generation of a new weight to 317 kg , and the same happens with the new F- 250 .

It IS entirely possible that is a legit photo of the prototype 2016.
Just honestly don't know and wasn't able to verify it as it came from a Russian source.

Happy I bought my 2015 with the looks of the new ones I have been seeing. Don't know if they will grow on me (kinda like the new mustang).
Love the power, hate the mileage (even though i didnt buy it for mileage). 8k miles on it and went to MN this weekend. Wind behind me both ways. 78 mph and averaged 15.2mpg with one regen. My 11 would get 19 all day long in same conditions.

2017 Ford Super Duty “Mega” Cab – Caught Again [Spied]
ere is another look at the upcoming 2017 Ford Super Duty prototype, caught by a TFLtruck viewer. This is the so-called “Mega” cab version with an extension to the crew cab. The current crew cab is already roomy, but if it’s not enough – this stretch should satisfy even the tallest people. Also, this configuration will go up against the Ram HD Mega cab.
We know that Ford is investing $80 million into the Louisville plant to enable the aluminum body construction for the next Super Duty. There are many skeptics of the aluminum strategy, but it will be very interesting to see how this will affect the payload and towing numbers. The redesigned 2015 Ford F-150 reduced weight by around 700 lbs by using aluminum body and other weight saving components and technologies. The Super Duty should be able to lose at least the same amount.
The Power Stroke V8 diesel will continue to be offered, but there are also rumors that certain configurations will utilize the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 in the heavy duty truck. This is no official information on this. Perhaps, the lighter weight of the next truck will allow the use of the turbo engine, or the 5.0L V8.
Update: take a closer look. Is the cab extension on this prototype look like a true mega-cab, or is it simply camouflage.

I think I read the extension part is just camo.

I'm hoping aftermarket companies are seeing the money making opportunity with that front end. For the record, I'm not sure I'm liking any of the new body styles.....
Agreed. None of the new trucks are anything I would buy for looks. The 2017 raptor grille looks a little better, but I think that is because it is at least trimmed on the bottom.
Looks like they had to mock it up on something other than a Ford.
