Anyone considering upgrading to the 2013 pro seat? Other than the weight savings, anyone see any other benefits? I am considering replacing my SBA cushy piece of crap and dont know if I should get the 2012 or 2013 pro rmk seat.

I would go for the 2013 rmk seat over the 12. It's shorter and a little wider then the 12 and not as hard but not as soft as the sb seat.
order a 13...if you don't like it PM me and ill trade you 
i have the SBA seat on my 012 rmk assault and i want the 013 rmk seat.I find it personally for myself when i try to swing my leg over i'm always catching the end of the seat,and if the gas can is there makes it even worse.
I really liked the new seat.
It is a bit wider ONLY on the part you sit on... The overall width of the seat is the same (it fits on the same tank)
To me, it gives a very good "connected feel" to the sled when you are sitting down...with no detriment to more active stand-up riding.
The shorter length made it easy for me to swing my legs around when moving side to side... It is the same height as the 2012.
If you want a shorter seat, the SPG Freeride is a great choice... shorter in length & height and about 2.5lbs lighter (I think yours must have been water-logged.

Nice comparison of the two seats. I will definitely have one before the snow flies. MSRP on the 2013 catalogue is $300.
I put a new boss 2011 seat on my 2011 pro two season ago.
First impression when I sat on the 13 - lots like the boss, narrow in front, wider in back, and shorter than stock. Not that I'm endorsing Boss - I've had my zipper issues with it - but the dimensions were pretty close between Boss and the 13. For me, the 13 would be the ticket. The 11-12 seats must be what a thong feels like. FWIW.

Too Tall
If your over a certain height. That short seat on the 13 Pro will have your butt hanging off the rear end. At least that's what I experienced when test riding a RMK Pro 2013. If you slide up then your knees are in an awkward position to stand. Granted some guys stand up 100% of the time, but tall people that sit down some will have a difficult time trying to find a comfortable position.I'm 6-6 and the seat is to short for me. Plus I'm over the hill and need to sit down once in a while.

I am 6'2" and I spent an entire day on the 13. The seat is awesome. Much more comfortable and easy to get a leg around for me. I don't think it would be too short for anyone under 6'4" or even taller. I have a friend who is 6'6" and he loved the seat too. I am not sure why the comment was made about it being too short. Maybe if you play in the NBA? LOL!
For those who want a lower seat and a cheap upgrade. I removed the seat skin and shaved away the bottom of the foam. It took a sharp knife and some big game skinning skills. I shaved about two inches off the bottom of foam keeping the shape of the plastic support. After that, I had to slightly cut the back of the plastic support to account for the lowering. Then stapled the skin back on and cut away the extra skin. Result was a lower, easy to swing a leg over and softer seat (not that I sit much), but more comfortable. Just a thought!
