2013 Pro RMK 800 Advice?

Just picked up a 2013 leftover can you guys give me some advice on what to look out for, any updates that are a MUST for relaiability, should I carry a spare QD belt, presumably the new belt anyone have a part #? I read abt. a collar and pulley bolt update ?? Any reccomendations on cans, quiet but lighter !!

If you picked your sled up at a dealer I would assume they did the updates for you so you shouldn't have to worry about that. As far as carrying a spare QD belt thats up to you, probably not a bad idea as long as your willing to spend 200+ on a spare and have room to carry it. I never personally carried one and never had any problems in 850 miles. As far as cans go, your best bet for quiet would probably be SLP, I have HPS and thats fairly loud, my buddy has BMP and that will make your ears bleed, and I have heard a GGB mountain and thats about the same story.

The quiet cans only save about 3-4 lbs, stock can is very light. IMO not worth the money, but up to you. MBRP isn't too loud either.

I would just ride it ...the few pounds you save are not worth it imo and I didn't have anyone in my group break a QD belt but I did buy a spare with all the hype...it was nice knowing I had a spare tho

I haven't actually picked it up yet, still in the crate i have till Nov. 1 to actually physically go get it. Should I ask the dealer to do any updates before pick-up, and if so, can yu guys give me a heads up on what they are? As I said i heard there was a pulley bolts update, and a collar, I am hoping since they are updates thery are free? Or dream on ? And I'm gonna get a spare QD belt for the hell of it, does anyone know the new 14 belt number, and do I need any special tools to change out in the field. How are the primary drive belts holding up on these, are the 13 and 14 the same belts?

The 14 belts are supposed to be better than the 13's. I would carry a spare 14 belt if you can get it. We blew 3 QD belts in 4 days on two different sleds on one of our trips last year so it does happen.

Updates should be free and done before you pickup the sled.

I'd have them put the 14 belt on before you pick it up and make sure they did the updates. Other than that I'd put the slp torque arm on to keep the motor still and save on mounts and belts.
I put 1300+ miles on the original belt last year and it still looks new but I did install a 12 driveshaft right away and retorqued my QD bolts every couple rides. I'm gonna start this year with a new 14 QD belt.

Checked the link, looks like 2 styles of alignment studs are those poo parts or aftermarket, have you had any issues with the primarey drive belt ?

Aftermarket studs.
Honestly not as good as I hoped but no worse than any other sled I've had. I'm getting about 350-400 miles out of a clutch belt and it was worse before the slp torque arm and new motor mounts. My awesome dealer even went through the clutch alignment and offset (I had done this also) and warrantied a belt for me but basically said it's the way I ride. I guess its a lot better than my buddy's Pro climb that gets 80 miles to a belt:face-icon-small-sho
The belts aren't blowing up or coming apart it's that they get to a point where they will not pull or hold rpm with the right deflection. It looks like they are starting to delaminate between the cord and the top layer.

IMO, it appears there is no consistency with primary belt issues from the guys I ride with. One has about 800 miles on his first belt. The belt just wouldn't hold rpm anymore. Didn't appear delaminated and no noticable cords/threads being pulled. I finally went through my first belt on my 12 pro. It has close to 700 miles, with about 550 of them boosted, no torque arm or aftermarket motor mounts. Rmscustom stated he is getting 350 to 400 out of a belt with the torque arm and new motor mounts, this is probably the worst I've heard of belt life on the pro.

There are two different belts for the primary belt. I don't recall the numbers for sure and I'm too lazy to go out to my sled and check, but if memory serves me correctly the 115 belt is the best belt and not sure on the number for the lesser belt.

I'm using the 115 belt which is $180.00.
All stock clutching, clutches cleaned regularly and the bushings, springs and etc. are all good.

Odd for sure. Sucks you go through 2 to 3 belts a year. Especially with the outrageous price Polaris asks for them.

Can anyone tell me what the updates and recalls are for the 2013 sled, even better possibly a link to Poo bulletine, my dealer said there are none, here we go, and do I need to pay for this stuff?

Do you guys have any info if these are recalls or updates, and or some type of ID# for them if anyone has a lnk to the actual Poo recall/update notice I can use it for ammo. Thanks
