Checked the bearings today.. All seemed fine.. Also decided to just go ahead and mod what I had instead of buying a new one.. grinder with an aluminum disc made quick work of it..
Is it just me or does this look to anybody else that Polaris engineered this for a drop and roll? from the pics if you used the bottom two holes (The chain case and / or bearing plate are currently using the top two bosses and holes) it would effectively drop the driveshaft ~1" and move it back ~1". I don't have my chassis apart to see where the jackshaft ends up by doing this but I will be putting my hairy eyeball on this modification this summer for sure.
