Slighty (marginally) off topic, however I have to say I have to advise anyone riding in the West Coast cement I ride in (first ride yesterday after a long hiatus), is that the stock boards will build up WAYYYY too much snow and ice and I dont see small variations to the current stock boards making much difference to that fact (including the aftermarket guys).
Further, thickening the current board design will help the with dents and breaks forming on my boards but certainly will not prevent them. I am stomping and kicking the hell out of my boards and have destroyed a great pair of boots, and smashed the hell out of my boards... cest la vie.
My question is this; after seeing the Airframes by Skinz, why the HELL wouldn't one of the manufacturers (hopefully Polaris) take on a similar design? Possibly they are afraid of people taking small children for rides and their feet sliiping through the gaps - as it crossed my mind. I simply just dont know...but hell they would reinvent Polaris's "Raw" motif. That Skinz desgin is all and everything that we need on these sleds... regardless of where you ride.
They are on my hit-list for next season, and I highly recommend that if you are having major snow build up issues, you research them.
That being said, again, I do not own them (yet) and have not tried them...they just plain make sense just looking at the damn things.
Ask Christopher (Editor/Moderator Snowest) his thoughts...and I assure you they seem unbiased.
