I am installing a SLP Stage 4 in my 2012 SBA for low elevation use. Does anyone have a modified map that they have found to work good for Low elevation?

thanks

I just installed a slp stage 3 on my 2011 pro @ 1750ft and am wondering the same thing...I mostly got the slp kit because its a lower compression 12.2 vs 12.5 of the other kits setups...I just don't want to hit the det if I get bad gas or run midrange...so to me the slp kit was safer...

I know slp is very conservative on there products but I would like to have some more power if there is room on the table!

power addiction racing has a head/pipe package for the pro rmk, would they sell us a map to try?

They may but if they are running more compression theres a good chance there will be extra fuel that's not needed on the stage 3 or 4 which are the same maps from slp. Im going to break my motor in with the slp and then start tinkering if I cant get a good map.

Stage 3 is a different map than a stage 4. They use different domes on each one. The ideal map would be to make your own but you would need to install an autotune. Creates your personal ideal map for your sled and how/where you ride. Somebody elses map may not be ideal for you when fine tuning. That is why the base maps are "safe" for everybody. Can burn one down pretty easy if you do not have a egt guage set up.

I have received both maps from slp over the last year 70-229 which is the stage 3 map and 70-240 which is the stage 4 map I opened them in pcv program and transferred info so I could print it out and look at it side by side and I am telling you that the two different part numbers and alleged two different maps are the exact same. Both maps add the same fuel at the same throttle openoning and rpm. I sent an email to slp inquiring but have not yet got a response as I figured this out yesterday afternoon.

Interesting...I do not think I really ever looked at them side by side as I just took their word for it that the stage 4 domes had a different squish and required a different map. Will have to look after I get home.

Mine is a stage 4 and I also noticed them being the same. At 3500 ft I took all the fuel away that they had up to engagement as I noticed it loading up

I checked tonight. The stage 3 map I was given was a 70-229. The stage 4 map I was given was a 70-231A. I checked last month with SLP to see if there was a more current map for stage 4 and was told for the 2012 that was the most current map. There are a great deal of differences between those two maps. The 231A puts alot more fuel into it. These maps are for 5000, and higher I was told as well.

I was given the 70-240 which is allegedly for 0-3000 and that is the same as the stage 3 map I will have to contact Slp again. 231a is for high elevation? Im away from my computer so I can't check what's what until later

yep, 231A (stage 4) and 229 (stage 3) are both what I was given for high elevation.

The 229 is what I was given for stage 3 and 240 for stage 4 and was simply baffled that they are the same map considering different power levels. Maybe the stage 4 runs awesome with map time will tell
