I put this together. Gets rid of the flex hose, and gives the engine a free flowing Cold Air Intake with a proper air filter.
I went with a filter, after seeing the crap that ends up in the intake.

looks like your going to have alot of heat coming through that hole. its going to ice up your filter. you need to get it up out of the hole. why the filter anyway? why not just a cage for just a prefilter?
looks nice though
i have been thinking of doing away with half the headlight and turning it into extra intake. the stock box does get plugged up on a submarine amount of powder and chokes out but that dosnt happen that often here

I have ran it 3 days already. No icing at all. Pull your intake off and look at the crap in there. Thats why I am running a filter.

Silberpro have you rode this in deep powder yet? I put a CAI on my m8 turbo. The first attempt I put the bottom of the filter a couple inches above hood and it plugged and chocked off the motor when riding in over the hood pow. The second attempt I put it about 8" from bottom of filter to hood and it works awesome way more consistant running and more power it has to be stupid deep to plug this high up. I just cant believe that works like that for you...it sure didnt on mine but maybe you ride somewhere that has wetter firmer snow idk. If it keeps working for you great they do run awesome not sucking that hot underhood air!

Has anyone just run some prefilter material between where the silicon charge tube meets the hood intake mount for additional filtration? I'm not sure it would flow enough for the turbo though. This would be for the 13 kits obviously...

Was out today over 4 ft dropped here in the last 5 days (Whistler BC)
No doubt we are near the coast and is heavier wetter snow.
I get next to no snow stuck to the filter, it is shielded where it sits.
I find all the snow just falls of the pre filter
It works great

Did you ever get your 2013 silicone charge tube?
This was built for a 2012 aluminum box style intake.
If you wanted this style of intake with the 2013 silicone charge tube, it would have to be different at the the turbo end.
I would buy Silbers molded intake tube ,
and if you wanted the K&N, come off his silicone tube with a 3 inch connector
It would be cheaper. All these parts are a bit spendy.
